Philips CD300 is the best, it may be due to the TDA1540D. CD304 is better than CD350 but it may be due to different output circuits (different opamp and mute control (reply vs transistor)), the digital transport CDM1 vs CDM2 may not easy to hear the different.

The difference is small. Rather than quality, I would say sound nuance. The 300 is a little brighter than the other two and the bass is more compact and punchy, but not as much texture and depth as the 304. The 304 gives more bass and texture than the 350. The latter has a smoother, more linear sound.
