Kirk Fields and Bonner deserve blame for the jail’s condition. Over 4 years of mandatory overtime and staff shortages have run good employees down to the ground. They changed the retirement plan. It’s terrible. People are not going to work in that environment without the benefit of a competent retirement benefit. How can Bonner and Fields sleep at night knowing bad things are. They have treated employees like crap and employees have spoken by resigning and retiring

THERE NEEDS TO BE AN EMERGENCY MEETING CALLED WITH ALL THE CITY OFFICIALS DISECTING AND DISCUSSING THE SERIOUSNESS OF THE SITUATION AT HAND AND FINDING SOLUTIONS TO ALEVIATE THE CRISIS AT THE JAIL ‼️💯....ITS REALLY SAD 😔 SEEMS LIKE NO ONE CARES.

To everyone im from ATLANTA this is going on now in every city jail.6 died 1 month in ours we got to say something they see and know
If the sheriff really cared, then he would have went before the county commission years ago and demanded that they take action to help the jail. Not ask but demand. He has not done that. I expected so much more from the first black sheriff of Shelby County. Many of his campaign staff were corrections deputies and he’s done so little for the jail.
The staff is overwhelmed with this district attorney real talk 😡

The employees crying for help for a job that they volunteer to go to without force or a contract obligations to be there is crazy. Quit if you can't afford to look for another job online or on your days off.
The employees to go work to do a job, its not their fault if the facility is working right. Why should they have to quit. Fix the damn jail or build a new facility. I'm pro law enforcement not criminals!

That jail sounds just like the Riverside Regional Jail in Richmond Va, well Petersburg Va. now this Jail is built like a prison facility. One building has like 5 units. And I think it’s like 7 buildings they never have enough Officers to cover the units. Sometimes the buildings will be locked down for 5-7 days straight. No phone calls, no showers, grab your trays and lock down. Do you understand the tension created because everyone is being treated like it’s the barbaric ages. And I swear these cats do some of the most savage things, I swear I don’t understand how a person can do the vile and nasty things that they do!!! , But, Facilities in Va do NOT PLAY THAT!!! Cameras will somehow shut down captain and Majors will turn a blind eye, and an inmate is being escorted to medical because he tried to break away with restraints and “Fell down some stairs “!! Justice will be served when it comes to that!!
The inmates are running the asylum

I don’t feel sorry for the jailer at all go get another job and second of all stop locking people up for no reason they put my child in jail for 2 weeks with no proof and now theirs no apology or nothing I can’t wait to sue all of them
Its not the jailers fault that your child was locked up. All they do is hold inmates according to the law, they don't arrest them.
The jailers didn't put your child in jail. You have to take that up with the district attorney. Jai k ers are safety and security.
Bet you work at Amazon or the neighborhood gas station. We hiring if you feel you can do better.
