Make it when you fully cata your char, all slots turn gold and then you can put anything you want at reduced cost as well.
Fully catalyzing one descendant already takes a lot of time and materials.
Actually...not a bad idea. Rewarding for upgrading a descendant FULLY, but doesn't necessarily FORCE you to. Nice
I like this idea, would be amazing. If they do keep things the same though, they need to make catalyst blueprints far more easy to come by. And the levelling needs to be adjusted, it takes far too long for how many catalysts you need to apply

the biggest issue for me atm, is that I have to use my 2 hours each day to do boring stuff instead of doing missions, void battles etc... I have to lvl my weapons and char to lvl 40 over and over and over again 😴😴 boost XP, kuiper and gold from all hard missions, and make it cost 1mill gold to upgrade sockets.. would help me ALOT.. I want to do missions to get xp/gold/kuiper, and not have to jump in a cave for 45 minuttes every day

You can literally farm void materials / xp / gold in kuiper mine…. When I hit level 40 (in about an hour or less) I usually end up with a bunch of gold from the ground and a bunch of those assassin marks, not a crazy amount of void shards but enough to get by.
You can earn exp and proficiency while doing mission. Its literally your choice. Boring but efficient or Fun but inefficient
Do defnce missions. Void, gold, and exp.
Socketing after fully doing the first page should be Gold or Kuiper, just like how crafting some of the items allows for multiple materials
You could give an option to duplicate a setup page, and then just change the few sockets you need to use catalysts to change polarity. That way, you have the most efficient way, but still requires materials to put unique polarities in.
You grinded out all the catalysts and socketed page 1. So page 2 and 3 should have those same slots available to assign a socket ONCE. That means choosing which catalized slot gets which letter without releveling. So if you assign it on page 2, it's permanent unless you use another catalyst. That'll keep people from continuously switching while also allowing 3 completely different builds while only farming to fill 1. This would be best scenario imo.
I litter just posted the same thing before reading yours , so I couldn't agree with you more. This would be a win win for everyone . Then once they are assigned then it would revert back to needing a catalyst to remove and replace just like it is now.
What if you spend a catalyst for your descendant it gives you a credit to use on the other 2. pages.For example you use a catalyst for tab 1, you should then get the ability to add any catalyst on the other 2 tabs later. I mean they give you the catalyst on the other tabs currently they just don't let you have to option to choose correct, so then why not just give credit to each of the other 2 tabs for later to use as you see fit. That way no more extra farming for players with less time which if probably the majority, and we still have the choice for build diversity.
I really think the devs should explore more with interesting boss projectile patterns and attacks, kind of like old-school shoot-'em-ups.
I guess they should really be providing an ability to store reserve slot types, to be placed into preset tabs. So we could, for example, purchase a total maximum of 10 per slot type(just in case we think of an all-"Xantic", or all-"Malachite" build, etc.), and then just keep them in reserve collection, for if we ever need a bunch of that slot type. And each of the presets can have reset of slot usages.
I think once we purchase a socket on a character we should be able to move it around and bank to add a new one whenever we want. That way you maybe only need to grind up a few extra socket types and get to a point where you no longer need to reset that character to change a build.
Was on my 4th Lepic reset and I just logged out lol, too boring. And this is after working on Bunny and Valby. Then put some work into Sharon for infiltration and Enzo for vaults
Reducing the capacity cost of the mods would fix all the problems. Opens up build variety because you require less catalysts, let's you swap mods around freely, let's you make different builds for slot 2 and 3. There isn't a good reason for most mods costing 16 when most should cost 10 or less.
Ya this is where a page from wf should happen where I think the core mods are 12
If they aren't going to do omni sockets, I'd like them to do something similar to the paint system.
Where it keeps track of what you assigned and you can change and swap it out whenever you want.
For MOST of my builds, I'd really only need to change 1 or 2 sockets.
thank GOD for that, if theres one thing i absolutely hate about infiltrations. It's the occupation bs you have to do that takes forever.
I'd like to see the option to swap around polarities as well, like in Warframe. huge QOL when you try and organize your build or compare to other builds.
It's not just about casuals, I don't think content creators who see dollar signs when it comes to making build videos for the next several months want to have to put in all that extra work to theorycraft and come up with build ideas for their viewers. Make no mistake that people are making money on this game creating content for everyone else to consume. Content creators don't want to have to work harder if they don't have to.

If one has the time to fully catalyse out a descendant, and discover a new setup they would like to use, then they have time to catalyse a few slots on the next page. If they had given the setup pages blank then that would have ended up monotonous. Folks that do not have much time with the game or play casual will most likely not be at the point of needing to re-catalyse a slot on a fresh setup page.
hope they fix the performance on fortress , game drops to 30 fps on ps5 in this region

Okay so all these small QOL changes are the best. This game is meant to be played on hours on end - and the fluidity of the UI and systems is sooooo important.
I see this game going places this year. So many important changes already, all via hotfixes too.
You should just be able to store the socet types. You also should be able to just put them wherever you want in the different loudauts. Like for example ill have more Almandin sockets for more damage modules but on a tank built I want more coelin sockets. Using a catalyst would essentialy just let u get another socket for later usage, this would allow for a lot more builts and it wouldn't force me to sacrifice more time.
I was playing 6 hours, but the grind got to me and now it's closer to 2 hours a day.
Why not use Kuiper instead of gold to convert catalyzed sockets? Its only used for one thing currently while Gold is spread out over a lot of things.
Each character should automatically load the reactor on it that you have on it before you switch character.
All sockets should just be open to any mod once you cat it.
Frost walker only feels easier because when you beat the boss you get matched with other players who have also beat the boss
I agree with what is talked about at the end of this video. At current build this game gives the middle finger to casual players. I love playing this game, but with a full time job and kids I don’t have time to farm a ton. This concerns me because I feel to progress in hard mode intercepts I need a fully modded weapons and descendant and don’t have the time to farm to get what is needed not to mention level to 40 each time. It’s sad, as I have sunk 100 hours into this game, but feel like it’s time to move on.
I like the socket idea. Once youve socketed all the slots on a tab, you can then flip the socket type on the other two tabs individually (not affecting the other two tabs) for a set amount of gold. Ive run into this myself. I have one socket left on my main build and its good for most things, but have found a build that smashes intercepts. Unfortunately ill have to change 4 sockets for it to work, screwing up my firat build and the investment i have in it.
I'm trying to farm Electric Condense mod for my wife. Can easily run it on hard but it takes forever because of stupid mission mechanics. You would think having a 1.2 percent drop rate a 100 times should be more than enough. Between me and her we have ran that mission 166 times and still no mod. I got my mod for Valby after like 30 or 40 attempts. The drop rates needs to be tuned or something
This game is a marathon for me and i personally dont mind taking awhile to build up my power and bounce between different grinds. Cause the last thing I want is to hit a power cap and have nothing to work for, especially when for me the only hero i love playing atm is Viessa. So all my time is spent on farming everything gor her. However, the modules slot grind is kinda rough lol when you have to do it over and over for different builts...its just annoying ngl. So i welcome any changes for the better i hope in the future.
Yeah, I have been loving the game but I don't have 400 hours worth of time or the unlimited spare cash to make up for it. They are making it where I will have to spend my little time grinding and may never get to the enjoying it stage because I don't have enough time
the mod issue shouldn't be an issue. Warframe already fixed this with universal catalysts. Yes more expensive to get but should be and fixes the problem.
Since their recent inclusion of auto-fire for various non-full-auto guns, are there guns that are bugged to where they auto-fire regardless of whether it's turned on or off?
i’d like them to just let us put an extra catalyst into a slot and then we can have multiple symbols in that socket that we could change whenever

I literally haven’t made another character bc I can’t fathom socketing someone another ten times. It’s tuff.
If i could research multiple crystallized catalysts at one time i wouldn't have a problem with grinding enough mats. I usually have 3 or 4 ready to go but im waiting for research

one thing tho imo: looter shooters are not for casual players the design of the genre is to grind to get stronger and the account of an average joe with 100 hrs barely is expected to be weak
I agree with everything you said....BUT Jesus, please remove the need to re-level your character EVERY SINGLE TIME you use a catalyst. That is one of my biggest issues along with the dead locking your build with certain slots.

for the ultimate reactors instead of saying mounted aka have in hand it should say equipped like the rares reactors i been using rare reactors that has machine gun equipped. i feel like that more easy to do then try to farm parts for a ultimate weapon that you have to use for the extra stats. for me i haven't looked at the ultimate reactors because the dps not counting the abilities but the dps is trash usually when it ultimate weapon or legendary it suppose to be 50% more even with abilities.
Casual player here. I gave up honestly because of the excessive amount of time needed to make a character or weapon playable. I'm used to bad drop rates in a lot of games so I can let that slide- but the barrier to attain is insanity.
It should be set that you can use gold to get another class set with blank 1,2 + 3 and all the sockets you've accumulated be free to slot as you wish and if you add any more then only those ones you need to grind back to lv40.
This should be across decendants and weapons.
Nobody in a real working world has time for all that grinding.
Also, we need at least 3 save slots for your components.
In the steam app it shows what I’ve recently achieved in tfd and it gives a percent of people who have also done this. Socket 10 times…. Less than 5% of the community has done this. These achievements showed me how much further I am than the average player. Which is to support the point of this video in that the grind is too much for most working adults. The community will die.
They really shut down their brain when they put in Grappling Hook disabled and jump disabled option
TBH for the Sockets on modules, Once you've unlocked a socket in page 1 the socket should be unlocked in 2 and 3 with your own choice to what symbol you wanna put into that socket. Probably add a gold/kuiper cost to do so. And 1 thing I'd like maybe, if you have the normal descendant (ex: Bunny) and get an ultimate version, there should be an option to upgrade the normal to ultimate and keep unlocked sockets from the normal. Dunno since we can't really refund those things from normal characters we're invested in it would be nice if we can instead upgrade them to the ult and keep all or some of the sockets unlocked.
I'm on this boat with Ajax. I have him upgraded, but once I get Ultimate Ajax, I'm going to drop the regular one like a hot stone. Same with Sharen. That's the same problem with her as well. Everyone has to have Sharen built at least a little bit, so when Ultimate Sharen comes out, it'll be a hard choice for some to make. Though most Sharen builds are based on getting that bonus damage from her Ambush so you only need to build a Sniper for her at the moment.

Don’t think it is happening. I am confident they will ask you to use one Catalyst to change one existing socket type to a new type like you do now if you change your mind.
They should add a new item or not to take exp away if you change socket!
We shouldn’t he to re level a character 1-40 once we have all slots matching the should just let us swap out symbols on setting 2 and 3 for catalysts if we choose to with having to level up again
I like the idea of being able to use gold to resocket, be alot easier but yeh thankfully majority of the ones already done are reusable
It shouldn't take more that 4-5 cata's for a build. I like the game, but I'm not putting 12 cata's in every char, for every build for every type of content, and then buying pre-set slots to accommodate that. Moving cold to fire resists is not a build. The current xp farms are boring and take too long for that. What if they add mods or update stuff?
It might work if completed cata's dropped from some content and they add an xp boost per cata added to a char. Reduce mod costs, make some mods like element resist/damage/transcendent universal. Give us a few flex slots mostly for resists in builds, it shouldn't take a cata for every slot in a build.
The majority of the player base in any game is going to be solo casuals, we're the ones willing to spend money to avoid the mind numbing grind. For example, if they offered ultimate weapons in the store, I would pay money for the ones I want. If nexon drives those players away the FTP players are not going to keep this game going, at the end of the day Nexon is a business, they have overhead to pay, a payroll they have to make every month and FTP players aren't going to keep the lights on if you know what I mean.
Forma leveling is terribly slow, each time you forma your XP gain back up to 40 shud be faster.
And the no lifers dont get an opinion, they dont have a life and or talk to people outside of games, its actually pathetic.

I work minimal 55 hours a week on average I work 70.
I get 2 days off a week I play like 4 hours in my days off....that's 8 hours a week😢
No ones got time to put 20 plus hours a week in this game unless they want kids with high school milk money buying cash shop stuff.
They just want you to spend more time in the game or bleed their pay pigs harder
If they want us to re-farm to change sockets, then xp needs to 4x more. The goal should be to eliminate the need for bunny cave type of gameplay. It burns people out to have to stand in a area for hours on end. Give us the option to change with gold (nothing crazy) or make the slots universal once all have been catalyzed. Do not treat this change as a money grab and call it "build diversity"
As someone who used Bunny Cave to fully level 4 Characters, i disagree. If people get burned out from that cave, just do other content... you still get experience. You dont NEED to do Bunny Cave to level. Youre putting shackles around your ankles for no reason.
@beecees410 I see your point, but because the cave is so efficient, other forms of xp aren't worth it. If you could efficiently get around the same xp farming morph missions, then the health of the game would be better. These spots encourage afk playstyle, and since they seem to not want that, then they need to make other forms of gameplay worth it.

It's a Korean game, the grind should be expected. "Westernizing" the game will ruin it.
