Gotta respect Andross for complementing you no matter what route you take in the game. Regardless of whether you play it safe or go hardcore, Andross acknowledges you have some serious skill to come this far in one way or another.
if you hit brakes repeatedly, especially while the cube is floating... you can eventually go out of range and you have no choice but to lose. similarly.... if you hit boosters repeatedly... you can get so close, you end up INSIDE the mask, and die instantly. kinda an odd glitch thing.
There is a pushbox to put you back, but it's tiny. most of the time the pushbox does not push you back into the battle so you can kinda get past his mask if you tried hard enough..

Given what Andross had become and how he'd ditched his mortal body to be a cube surrounded by a telekinetic mask, he was indeed nightmarish like he saw himself as a God of some kind.
My favorite thing about the intro drum beat is that it was used for this, the great commander, the title demonstration, and the atomic base, yet they all lead to completely different songs at the end (except for the title demo, that just had the little change in its beat and then it was over)

Also, even though the story of Star Fox SNES has been retold in both Star Fox 64 and Star Fox Zero, there are many people that would still like to play the original Star Fox game, myself included!
I have it on emulator and on a physical SNES cartridge. It's fun and surprisingly difficult. I've only ever cleared Path 3 _once_, and that's because the Great Commander (the boss before Andross) has *ridiculously* small hitboxes. You will run out of nova bombs, you will break your wings, and you will want to quit. And I'm not even talking about his final form on Venom, this is about when he's in orbit.
I am going to figure out exactly how they used to compose music for SNES games and do exactly just that. Exactly the same thing. Parameters and everything, just do it just like that.
