Melbourne's roads are the best. The whole city has a grid system and the roads are nice and wide. I hated driving in Sydney which is like a spider web of narrow roads. They also do not have dedicated turning lanes unlike in Melbourne. And seriously, other than the waterfront, (which is nice) there's not much in Sydney.
@@ksd9756 nah I disagree, Melbournes roads regardless even if they look good are a head ache to navigate around, plus the increasing levels of graffiti not murals is increasing. Sydney has dedicated turning lanes, and has changed its roads, I can't say the same about Melbourne

Absolutely not. I'm a dual American/Canadian citizen, and both USA and Canada have a far more advanced highway system than Australia. Rent a car, and drive around Australia, and you will see. I found it easier to drive around Los Angeles/Toronto than Sydney or Melbourne.
Public transport systems are more advanced than North America. The new Sydney metro is amazing.

No vibe. The best city I've been to is 70s Johannesburg. Vibrant, alive, hustle bustle. A true concrete jungle with a NYC vibe. Unfortunately it's now ruined but still has more soul than these Australian cities. Thu r soul less.
