How To Cook Yellow Rice I Turmeric Rice I Easy & Simple

  • 5 minutes Indian Masala Yellow Rice:
    Serves 3-4
    Preparation Time - 5 minutes
    Cooking Time - 5 minutes
    Ingredients:
    Precooked Rice 1 cup
    2-3 Tbsp of vegetable oil
    2 large whole green chili
    1 tsp of mustard seeds ( Rai)
    1 tbsp of curry leaves 🍃 ( limro )
    1/2 tsp of Salt 🧂 or to taste .
    1/2 to 1 tsp of red chilli powder.
    1/4 tsp turmeric powder.
    For Garnishing :
    2 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves 🍃
    one large chopped red or white onion
    2 tsp of fresh lemon 🍋 juice .
    Method:
    Heat oil for a minute , then add mustard seeds (rai) and curry leaves (limro).
    Stir for a minute making sure curry leaves are not burnt.
    Next add the precooked rice and stir gently.
    Add salt, Kashmiri red chilli powder and turmeric powder to the rice and mix.
    Cook for literally 5 minutes on medium heat and stir .
    Off the stove and garnish with coriander leaves, chopped onions and fresh lemon 🍋 juice.
    Lastly enjoy 😊 delicious masala yellow rice .
    * Can be serve with Raita or fresh plain yogurt 🍦.
