    Put a cloth between the pliers and the book corners so that they don't scratch ☺

    Excellent tutorial! Very easy to follow and your journal is lovely. To avoid scratching the metal book corners, I cover the corners with a small piece of scrap cloth before clamping down with the pliers.

    I put some fabric or you could use a napkin or something soft to put around the book corners before i crimp them down to avoid marks from the pliers❤ great video, happy crafting!

    Place a piece of fabric under the pliers as you press down the book corners. That will prevent the corners from being scratched and misshapen. Great tutorial!

    To keep the plyers from scratching put a thin small cloth on both sides of the metal. This is an old plumber's trick to keep from scratching faucets :)

    This was a great example of using fabric. I am so intimidated by the thought of having to sew in the signatures. I think it’s holding me back. I am very new to JJ. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.

    I know this is a few years old but I'm just getting into junk journaling so I've just started watching these. Anyway, ... you were asking about ways not to scuff the metal book corners and I wanted to let you know that they make jewelry pliers that have soft covers over them to prevent them from scratching the jewelry elements.

    They make a pair of jewelry players that have rubber inserts on the prongs of the pliers. They work great for this.you can find them on Amazon for really inexpensively.

    Hi Malina ,new subbie here from Canada. Thanks so much for this video, may I ask how do you attach the paper inside the cover over the fabric? Like right when you open the cover now ,you are going to add paper i imagine. What glue would adhere paper to the fabric parts?

    • @MalinaMak
      @MalinaMak  Před 4 lety

      Hi, thanks for your question! For attaching paper to the inside of the cover, I use some sort of liquid glue (like mod podge or pva glue). You can do a test on a scrap of fabric to make sure it will stick, but most liquid glue should work
