Boogie consistently has the most level and realistic takes in NBA basketball. The rep the NBA created around him just doesn’t line up. He’s an intelligent, practical, mature guy. So what if he got wild on the court? We need more of that if anything.

I say that and I would have given Cal more time to me he was more than a Coach he was the President of KY. He repped us and cared. But people here are nutty in a good way and bad….47 NBA players in 14 years and 1 Championship is what they obsess about. 60+ teams won more games in the tourney than we did in the past 5 years Im telling you Cal had the freedom to do anything he wanted….he’d have been king forever if our batting average was a bit better It’s sad. Stop trying to turn this into a UK=MAGA thing. There are people from both sides of the isle that support UK and UK is in a blue city. Yes, there are powerful donors that are on the red side, but insiders have said that they (the boosters in question) did not and never would expect the UK program to be involved in their politics. If Cal lied unnecessarily to a booster regarding attending an event with a player then Cal made mistakes, and he should own that shit. He can't reasonably have an issue with that while he himself is tight with the Beshears. As far as his relationship with the AD, that stuff is public. Calling out the AD about funding for a practice facility publicly while indirectly belittling other programs at UK was in very poor taste. Perhaps both sides are accountable to some degree, but fuck acting like he had no role in the soured relationships and definitely fuck turning this into red vs blue. In the end he had a rough stretch of years and he is at least partially to blame for the soured relationships. He had all the support he needed and got the recruits. Any failures in March belonged to him and he left on his own.
