There are a lot of companies manufacturing some quality recovery gear in the USA. Rhino has USA in the name but does not manufacture in the USA, according to their website.
I just came across your channel and really like what you are doing to help the 4x4 community and people who need a quick pull. Thank you for all you do.
I see you recover cars a lot. I recently picked up a tow bridle with small J hooks and the other attachments that will fit into car frame holes to make recovering cars a little easier.
@@4x4rescue74 I concur but some of the newer cars don’t have real good supports to put an axle strap around. The other attachments on the tow bridle I purchased fit in the holes on the frame so it gives 3 or 4 attachment possibilities.
I’ve heard of Rhino, but I was skeptical because it’s cheaper than bubba stuff. But if you use it then obviously it’s legit. Will definitely buy some backup gear I’ve been wanting
I bought a brand new ranger and my first but if kit was the smaller kentic rope and agency six receiver recovery point a couple soft shackles and a tow strap I even got the shovel for free too which was awesome. I haven't needed it yet but man is it good to know I've got some well rated good quality equipment if needed.
I like your gear, mine is similar, I'm in SoCal in the spring, usually 5Palms hotspring (Brawley) and always do a several recoveries during the month I'm there. The rest of the year I live near PGH.
I think the question is would you buy and carry all the stuff you carry and use if they didn't give all of it to you? I'm very skeptical about reviews from sponsored people.
Thanks for what you’re doing for the 4x4 community and for the cool videos. Where can I find info on the testing they did on their recovery gear? I always check that out before buying - I only trust 2-3 brands right now honestly. But if they’re not cheap Amazon Chinese quality I might be a buyer.
Took a look at rhino USA because I like to buy from American companies. Turns out think USA isn't made in USA and is made in China instead. Gonna spend the extra money and buy American made instead. I did have a couple straps I got from a buddy made by them and they did hold up just fine.
Wait... So I have purchased a few Rhino products and I have seen the life time warranty, but is that even for normal wear and tear?? I put my tree saver strap to the test regularly. I was planning on needing to throw it away and buy a new one.
Definitely a safe practice to use them every time. I’ll sometimes not use them when on a straight pull if I know it’s not too hard but even then I’m trying to get in the habit of using them each time
They’re great to have and I definitely recommend them for the average vehicle. However, when you have a winch and all the gear, you don’t use them that much. If I know I’m going out on a bad recovery I’ll throw them in the jeep but it’s not something I use day to day
I do a lot of beach driving here on long island in my Wrangler Rubicon. Always see people I want to help and am totally capable of helping. But how do you avoid being held liable for anything that goes wrong?? The legalities scare me away...
@@4x4rescue74 Maaaaaan I'm going to have to "free off-road recovery" myself in the next few days or weeks. Today I went to my storage place just to randomly check on a tarp covering a car that has a chop-top in progress. There is evidence that my 11 cars there were submerged in about 18" of wawa. 😠 The yard owner never advised me. They call, text, and email me about everything else... It's 3 or 4 inches to 6" in some spots of slushy mushy foamy mud. I don't want to wait until it dries out. I'm going to go in there with my WJ (and possibly a buddy's 4x4 wrecker) and tear that yard up as I extract my stuff and move out. When I got out of towing and repo I gave away most of my great gear. I'll be getting some of your basics soon. Looking foward to moving out. 🤘😁🤘
What is the difference bewteen a D ring and a Bow shackle? Will a 7/8" rope stretch as much as a 1" rope when doing a recovery on a 6k pound vehicle? If 1" is better than 7/8" why not just go to a 2" rope and call it a day?
D-ring and bow shackle is the same thing, some people call them a clevis also. Most kinetic ropes will stretch around 30%. 1” would be the preferred size for a 6,000lb vehicle. If the rope is too large for the vehicle it won’t stretch as much.
@@4x4rescue74 Anyone involved with rigging should know there is a difference between a bow shackle and a Dring even though everyone throws the names around as being the same, A Dring has zero side load in the design.
According to this guy @ 8:05 (czcams.com/video/DEbHplg6baw/video.html), those straps are only good for 10 pulls before they are supposed to be removed from service. What are your thoughts on this?
Good question, I’ve never used snatch straps. Kinetic ropes are better, I’ve had ropes that literally had over 100 pulls on them and never noticed a difference, same with our tow straps.
They work very well for pulling, I use them all the time and have never had one break, not to say they wouldn’t but they’re awesome for vehicles without tow points.

Exactly, they do it to be intentionally misleading. Who cares where the office is.

ALL my gear is rhino. Just got my 1inch X 30 foot recovery rope. What a BEAST. Lime green.
Excellent, your such a genuine person, deserve many more subscribers. All the best.
I see you recover cars a lot. I recently picked up a tow bridle with small J hooks and the other attachments that will fit into car frame holes to make recovering cars a little easier.
Yeah J hooks work well, but I always prefer a closed loop system with axle straps. Depends on the situation though.

Smart idea to create a group to help others. We have all be there looking for help.
Keep it up.
Rig is looking good man, good work
Good information on what you will need
Lol i asked you to show and demonstrate how to use these and here it is i found the video i need to see
Watch the “I pulled out 11 stuck vehicles” video, I show how to hook up all the straps in that one. Other videos I show the snatch block

hello I like what you do as soon as I start to see your videos thanks I learn a lot with your videos
Save some money and get a tow ball mount and a hard shackle instead of the hitch shackle .... Same thing, much cheaper
I think the question is would you buy and carry all the stuff you carry and use if they didn't give all of it to you? I'm very skeptical about reviews from sponsored people.

I haven’t found a 4x4 Rescue group based in Mississippi…wouldn’t be bad to have given the number of friends I’ve had stuck in mud recently.

@@4x4rescue74 Thanks! I just submitted a request. It didn’t even show up under results on FB when I checked. I’ll share the group.
Nice overview. 👏🏻
Love the video. I have a 2022 Wrangler Rubicon arriving in three weeks. What winch would you recommend? Is a 10k lb. winch sufficient?
10k is plenty. I would recommend either a Smittybilt, Warn, Apex or Mile Marker
Nice inventory of gear. If you get much more you’ll have to remove the back seat. lol
This channel is so much better than that Matt guy in Utah
Yep, and I'm betting 4x4 Rescue doesn't scam and commit felony insurance fraud either 😉

Warranty it
How about that dampeners? Do you think is not a must everytime you perform a tow job? :) thanks

Can you make a video on all the other things you carry
Definitely, I made one a little while back that shows more stuff, but still not everything. That video is called “my recovery gear”
Everything but traction boards. Don’t like those?

Look into your state's Good Samaritan laws.
Dose Rhino USA still offer a life time warranty if you buy there gear off of Amazon?
Does everyone in your group volunteer their work?
99% do, there’s probably a couple tow truck drivers in some groups also but the whole point is free off-road recovery.

When are you going to be getting your stuff back in stock? I’m looking for a 1” kinetic. And some traction boards.
