Hey guys i went down to New Plymouth and picked this motor and gearbox in this video i pulled the head of the 3E and compare 2E head and pistons feel free to ask any questions thanks.
Toyota 3E was like Mitsubishi's 4G15, but 3E's are so hard to find.
Yea very rear being looking for one for a while
My Toyota bigbody XE is 3e engine
Excellent video, I haven't seen a 3E before.
there quite hard to find been looking for one for the past 3 years
Wow first time i saw 3E engine, more common in our country is the 2E and 4AF
they are very hard to come by only come in a hand full of car models that came to new Zealand been looking for one for the last 3 years and finally found one
BACK HEE WITH THA TOYAADAH THRI, GUIS!
3e's are super common where I live. They are the cheapest engine you can buy. They cost around $150 USD for a long block
over here they are rare. your very lucky ha ha
I was wondering if you could use the 3E camshaft in the 2E engine. I know 1E camshaft have the same timing and duration, but less lift. I haven't been able to compare a 2E and 3E camshaft
im taking my 3e cam into my cam guy in the next few weeks to get it welded up and made to a 300 duration im going to get him to check to see if their the same because i was wondering the same thing so ill let you know
@@RuggedGarage that would be really helpful. I don't know if i can weld camshafts where i live so if the 3e cams fit in that would be great.
@@RuggedGarage Did you ever find out if the 3E cam and 2E cam are the same? Would there be a benefit to putting a 3E cam in a 2E? Thank you
My toyota bb is 3e engine
no 2e only 4af are different thanks mate
Are the 3e/2e parts interchangable? Pistons/heads/CAMs?
from what ive seen it seem like you could use a 3e head on a 2e but haven't tried it yet
So if i use the 2e head on 3e block with 3e cams and camgear it's possible with high performance?

@@wazlawagentf3444 can you translate it into english, please?
@@earljuliuslorenzo1899 I will try))

I'm sorry, my English really wants to be better)))
So.
In my opinion, this is most likely possible, but you need to align the camshaft under the “2E” mark on the camshaft pulley (on the 2E pulley there are two marks - “1E” and “2E” approximately 90 degrees clockwise, on the 3E pulley there are also two marks - “2E” and “3E” approximately 90 degrees clockwise). Otherwise, there is a risk of the third valve hitting the piston. But you have to look locally. In the 3E, the third valve is deeper in the cylinder head than in the 2E. Maybe the valve and piston will not “meet”.
P.S.: so that the pistons do not “meet” the valves - there is, for example, this solution - czcams.com/video/GIlimb2iNoI/video.html
P.P.S.: I didn’t immediately notice that the link is to the channel of the author of this video)))
you can do it but it will be lower compression because 3e pistons are lower compression so it wouldn't be worth it unless your where doing a turbo engine or shave down head even more thanks
Mesin 3e ini ukuran teming beltnya brapa om?

2e and 3e cam gear are same size?
yes same size just different location on the gear for the different duration on the cam
