Pokémon Violet Hardcore Nuzlocke - Ghost Type Only (No Overleveling, No Items)

- Can I beat a hardcore nuzlocke of Pokémon Violet using only Ghost types?
The Ghost type is one of the coolest types in all of Pokémon
My Generation 9 Monotype Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1) If a Pokémon faints, it must be permanently boxed or released.
2) Only the first type-specific Pokémon encountered of each Unique evolutionary line.
3) No Items can be used in battle (Held Items are allowed).
4) Party Pokémon levels are limited to the highest level Pokémon of the next Gym Leader, Team Star Leader or Elite 4 Member. So long as your Pokémon are at or below the level cap when the Gym Leader, Team Star Leader or Elite 4 Member battle starts, they can level up mid-battle.
5) When ask "Will you switch your Pokémon?" after knocking out an opposing Pokémon you must always choose the "Keep current Pokémon" Option.
6) No connecting with other games for the purposes of importing Pokémon, Items, etc. - Hry

The reason Curse does not affect the Starmobile is because any sort of status ailment fails on the Starmobiles, non-volatile or otherwise.

hey great video like always :) The ghost type is pretty cool and strong but the main issue I have with them is that they are not tanky at all. I am surprised only 3 deaths lol
Yeah they are more offense than defensive and if I played tight I think I could of had just 1 death.

My strat for Giacomo and Iono ended up being a lot more insane.
Namely uh. Grinding high level Gimmighoul to get a Gholdengo before Iono.
I was a wee bit scared of both of them to say the least!

Also, I just beat the Ghost Gym in Montenevera last night; I was fighting Ghost-to-Ghost and I will tell you straight up: my Cerulegde and Brambleghast are the tag team MVPs!! 😁

@@cherrieschallenges I'm still in my first play through of Violet (I don't do nuzlockes 😅). Cerulegde, Tinkaton and Brambleghast made quick work of the Psychic Gym in Alfornado last night; as it sits, that just leaves the Ice Gym, Ground Titan, and the Fighting Crew.
In addition to Cerulegde, Tinkaton and Brambleghast, my Team is currently consisting of Skeledirge, Annihilape and Kilowattrel; with Garganacl, Farigiraf and Paldean Aqua Breed Tauros among those on standby in my box.
At this point, it's just a matter of figuring out who to use when 🤔

@@cherrieschallenges yeah my Cerulegde didn't learn Bitter Blade until after I beat the Ghost Gym 😅; I was especially impressed with how Brambleghast tanked so many hits! Brambleghast seemed to be the main target in that battle. Right now the only ghost type move it knows is Phantom Force, but it has one of, if not THE MOST powerful BulletSeed I have ever seen!!

Interesting playing with the pokemon that evolve into the type is allowed rule dont see that often great run ghost is my favourite type so nice to see them showcased are you going to do more nuzlockes with the new dlcs out? Theres some great returning ghosts now like trerevenant and golurk and chandelure gen 5 had some great ghosts

The Fuecoco's Name "Myrtle" is From Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets, Named after the ghost haunting the girls bathroom in the series called Moaning Myrtle, Who Died While Crying In The girls bathroom because of the basalisk's ability to kill using eye contact through Petrification.

Surprised u didn’t do psychic tbh so u would use the ralts line completely already but when u do do a psychic run I can help if u need it
Edit: Or u could do it next to use a ralts line and Armouruge since u now used Ceruledge and Gardevoir but not Gallade also if u use Gallade make sure it has trace to it gets a new ability sharpness which can help u against Giacomo and other dark types

@@cherrieschallenges my next was gonna be grass cus in my last I got a shiny Skiddo and want to use it but waiting on Home so I can use it when I start plus all the grass types I got seem lucky getting good natures two having neutral and one having modest and it was Arboliva
But idk what u can do maybe grass or dark to use the third starter u didn’t use unless it was ur main starter or psychic for Gallade with Sharpness and Armouruge idk

Sick video but i think that something to improbe on is to ONLY use ghost types. Like fuecoco and its 2nd evo arent ghost types. Primeape isnt ghost. So i think that if u only used fuecoco when its a skekedirge, it would be more fair. Also, terastilising is also quite broken. It changes ur type from ghost to smth else. But thats just my opinion. Im subbing. Also, why does grusha have to be a guy😢😢
I personally am a fan of using mons whose final evo is the type of the run. Also nothing wrong with crushing on Grusha! I know I do even though I mis gender her

And also, if youre going Monotype Nuzlocke, you cant use Mankey or Primeape until he evolves into his Ghost typing.

I love Ghost types. This is my first mainline Pokemon game, (I don't think Legends counts) and now that I've hit the end credits on my main save i want to try to go for my first Nuzlock. I can't decide if i want to do a normal one or an all ghost one.
