I'm Brazilian, professional drummer, I've played RHCP around Europe and all over Brazil with a cover band (I have videos on my channel), I'm 43 years old and I can say that I'm Chili's #1 fan in my city Porto Alegre and region. I know every part of every song, since the first album in 1984, and I can categorically guarantee you: you did a perfect job. With the exception of the end of Purple, where there was a personal jam, spectacular, by the way, everything was perfectly faithful. In my teens I was very addicted to video games, and I played the DK trilogy day and night. It's one of the best soundtracks ever made. I still listen to it in my daily life. So imagine, man... you made me cry on several tracks. The perfect joint. Porcelain was the only time I liked it in my life. Congratulations, dude. I have no words. Instant subscribed.
Damn nice! rhcp cover band sounds fun. I play bass and for me rhcp is my favorite band, so I wanted to reproduce the songs as faithfully as I could, sometimes I would listen to a part 50 times just to figure out the vocal harmonies. This is a pivotal moment in this CZcams trend. This album is easily the best sound font translation I've heard, I've listened to it in the car and shown it to multiple friends who all enjoyed it. This is actual music more than just memes, good job on this!

I agree. I get that most of these types of videos are just done to be funny and not really worth listening to for more than a few laughs, but this was genuinely great. Some parts actually sounded like they could fit into a DKC game.
I agree, I check alot of them out, and right out the gate this is the best sounding I've heard. Dk was such a great soundtrack too. Not as cheesey as even some n64 soundtracks.
As a huge fan of both RHCP and DKC2, I was immediately hooked.
...and then the chorus of Around The World kicked in and I was even more hooked. This is like two separate nostalgia parts of my brain combined.
I really want to see David Wise react to this. If anything, it makes me appreciate him more for his ability to select instruments that suit a game. Cohesive instrument selection is easily forgotten in soundtracking and electronic music but it’s crucial.
100%. no one talks about the soundscape and instruments he chose for donkey Kong country. They work so well together. And I’d love nothing more than for him to see this. He’s one of my biggest music inspirations

The thing that sets this apart for me from so many other N64 soundfont videos is the Monkey Noises. Thats exactly what Anthony Kiedis would sound like if he was an N64. Every song should be sung in "ooh"s and "ouw"s from now on.

This is unreasonably good. I'm a fan of RHCP & DKC2, but I think this is somehow genuinely even better than the original album. Most of these types of videos are fun and interesting, but I rarely return to any of them- assuming I make it all the way through the song(s) at all. But, I don't know how many times I've come back to listen to this whole album over and over again. The attention to detail and love of the source materials really translates, allowing it to transcend from well-crafted novelty into legitimate music. Thanks for gifting this to the world

As far as this game soundfont covers I’ve listened I thinks this is the one which fits the best. This album’s style goes perfectly with DKC2. It could’ve been in the game no probs

brilliant choices here. The melody on instrumentals is often awkward or forced, but here some songs have staccato voices, others are glissando, and the monkey vocals are an inspired decision on Get on Top etc

Californication has some of RHCP's biggest songs, but I also feel like it has some of their most underrated. I Like Dirt and Emit Remus sound great here, and Porcelain & Savior are uncanny matches for this soundfont... just perfect. Fantastic work on this. I think the hits (scar tissue, otherside) are actually some of the weakest but they still sound pretty great, maybe it's just brainrot from hearing them on the radio so much.
Yea cali has sooo many underrated songs. Porcelain and emit remmus are one of my favs.
