    I have some questions about this circuit.
    1 - What is the purpose of using Q4? Why does this circuit needs a PNP transistor there?
    2 - Why not to use FETs instead of BJT? Wouldn't FETs be much more sensible?
    3 - Why this configuration? I understand that this circuit has an floating base that gets affected by any stronger magnetic field (that can be generated by mains voltage) and when it's affected, the leds turn on. But, why not to simply use one NPN transistor with one or two leds connected between it's collector and VCC?
    Can somebody help me to understand it?

    • @PK-lz4ho
      @PK-lz4ho Před rokem

      Basically I think he just made a reed switch/grounding switch, it's using the magnetic field of power/your body to complete the circuit. You can build a more powerful one using an inductor where you could use like 0.6V to power it, instead of 2x3.5V . Look up 'joule thief' on youtube.

    • @amitkumarbhardwaj4321
      @amitkumarbhardwaj4321 Před rokem

      2nd point: might be because FET is used for higher votages and bjt for low voltages thus low current.
