- The third story in this year's Tales of Terror!
Sir Handel and Peter Sam are curious - what exactly happened to Smudger? Duke holds all the answers... and the truth is much darker than the two little engines originally believed...

Now the punishment is WAY more satisfying than the original
At least we get to find out in your version of Smudger's fate. WOW.
Actually written by Richard Jordan as said in the video.
Wow. Quite a creepy way to twist the tale of Stanley/Smudger. Not too far out of question though, that Smudger would cause deliberate destruction to end lives and destroy the railway's only source of funding at the time all out of spite. I think you put it best when you said he came to his end "wondering if his deeds were worth it"! Great way to end the year's series of train-themed Halloween stories. Stay safe and Happy Halloween Al!
Aw, thanks! Glad you like it. Although, while this may be the end of train-related Halloween content on my part, yet there is still more to come (and not just my annual MLP adaptation for Halloween!) - there is still one more haunting regarding steam-powered traction yet to come on Halloween itself! See you all at Bigg City Port!
Whoa... What a dark tale of Smudger’s fate...
No matter what fate befell him after the MSR’s closure, he deserved it for all he did...
some either have Smudge to survive and live while others like this show his fate that he didn't survive.
To have Smudger once known as Stanley... didn't see that coming...
I quite like the reason why Smudger was named so and more to the reason why he got turned into a generator. Smudger being a psychopath does seem a bit fitting, I'll admit.
Hoisted up the incline? I wonder who did that back then in the HiT era
