I lost my husband unexpectedly 2 yrs ago this Dec 15th. I met him 40 yrs ago, I was just a baby ☺️ and we have 5 children, 14 grandchildren and one on the way. I spent the first yr in my bed, literally, and couldn’t have cared any less if this house fell down much less decorate it. Over the last year, I’ve slowly started to get back out into the world. At first for my kids and then for me but still have had no desire to design anything. I recently found your channel and I’ve been binge watching. I can feel your enthusiasm for decorating. I once had several losses back to back to back and I will tell you that decorating helped in the grieving process. I found decorating to a bit of a nice distraction, it kept my mind busy, and I found that changing my my environment here and there really helped to pull me out of a big slump, if you will. As time went on I slowly felt like I was healing and not in that awful place where I didn’t want to do anything. I wanted to share that because “decorating” was my saving grace, along with God and family, it truly was. I found my happy place again -through decorating. I hope it helps you, too, sweet friend. I'm in Love with the Industrial look, that brick wall is most definitely FIRE! and French Country is one of my favorite decor styles. Liz, that wall creates just the right amount of texture in the space. The lighting is so key here, it creates that softness that we all Love.

From what I can see so far you have managed to once again make empty space warm, cozy
and inviting. Love the layout, large windows , floors and that huge center island in the kitchen.
I had to smile because I also purchased the daisy picture you have on the wall except I chose the
one with wording on it. I bought it in Oct and want to frame it. Its smaller than the one you have.
Can't wait to see everything in slow motion when its complete. Its a beautiful apartment.

Yes, the fur babies are allowed, but our girls are watching them for us. - To take the dogs to the bathroom one has to walk a block or 2, so it’s no ideal, but it is certainly doable! Much love, ❤️ 🌟🎊

I’m always so sad to take down Christmas so I decided to decorate super cute every year for valentines! So I bought some super cute rustic Valentine’s Day stuff to ease my pain 😂 for me the pines etc is Christmas so I put it away too
I just love your new apartment. I like the fact of keeping everything simple. For the industrial look that’s already there, THAT should speak for itself. I live in NYC and have visited many City Lofts. The look that was always impressive was ‘ going with the flow’ of the ‘surrounding elements’, letting the industrial look be the star…but adding classic pieces without lots of fru fru!

Love what I am seeing in that apt.I am originally from Ohio now living in Northern Nevada. I have a fondness for brick.I was just in ohio,and Kentucky on vacation. I forgot how much I love Mid Western architecture. I too want all Christmas Decor out of my site. The only winter decor,I have out is a few pine picks in a beautiful white pitcher on my dining table. I can not decide what style of decor I like best.My house is a combo of English cottage, French Country,Rustic meets a bit of glam.I don't follow design rules or trends.Nice to have you back!Liz.

I’ve almost got my Christmas packed up and I don’t decorate for winter but I start decorating for Valentine’s Day and anything romantic that will go well with it. Love those dining room chairs but the table is too small Cute apartment but I’ll never leave the peace and quiet of the country lol.

I absolutely love Christmas, every year I wait for fall, my favorite time of year, right into Christmas! That being said, when Christmas is over, I'm ready to pack it up, as well, and I dont do winter, either. I'm not so much ready for spring, but after Christmas, I'm definitely ready for something fresh in the house. The apartment looks great, so far, not disappointed, lol! Happy New Year!
