My takeaway is that you like it. I've had my eye on one for a year now and see that the Luba 2 is much improved. Then I saw something about preorders for a YUKA. Curiosity made me check it out and the result is I ordered a Mammotion Yuka 1500 today. The features that I like are three less motors. The two for the front and one to raise and lower the blades. The sweeper function is certainly a great feature for me. I have a city lot but at my age, mowing gets painful. Plus I ran out of battery in my Toro Electric mower and it's too warm to charge. A second battery would b3e had if I didn't expect the Yuka within a month. Now, I'm hoping that I can keep up my house longer and wow the neighbors doing so. The nail in the sale was the price. Less than the Luba! Wow!
I've been using my luba 5000 AWD for almost a year now and can't imagine living without it anymore. You've made a very good video about the mower. Good idea about modular assembly for repairs. One thing I dread is the time that the battery will need replacement. It too, is hard wired inside the mower as far as I know.

Additionally, Andy says that he has taken ours apart before, tricky to disassemble -- DO NOT REMOVE THE FOUR BOLTS SURROUNDING THE CUTTING DISKS. The battery is not hard to replace but you will have to un-solder wires. He highly recommends that you take time to re-silicone all if the buttons underneath the top cover. Cheers.
Bonus doggie footage:-) How cute is the little charging tunnel. One day a unit like this will mow our front yard slope. For now, I use the self-propelled Ego which keeps me out of our creek.

Like the video, your plot is what I feel the Luba was designed for, big open spaces. I have smaller complex areas with more limited exposure so I've had to remap countless times to get it to work to its limits. The camera I seem to find almost a hindrance as it makes more wrong decisions with it, certainly the advertising is over stating its abilities. I was going to send mine back but now I know its limits I'm getting used to that.
Your comments about the cameras are interesting as we have not tried a V2. Is there an option to turn the cameras off? While we do have large areas, few are open. We live in a mountain valley with lots of trees and buildings. Our Lubas mow very tight areas around our buildings, trees, ponds, creeks, bushes... I found the most helpful thing you can do is mount the RTK unit as high and with as much view of the sky as possible. Both the RTK and Luba must see the same satellites, but the only one you can control is the RTK because it is fixed, while Luba is constantly moving. Also, be patient as the satellites are constantly moving. Ours may sit for 10 minutes or more in tight locations before re-aquiring. While I have no proof, I believe Luba gets better at mowing areas with limited coverage, perhaps by utilizing onboard memory. Good luck, and I hope Luba works for you!

Will Luba mow under that tree through the summer when the leaves are out? I have a small (3'x8') chicken tractor that I move daily. Would Luba be able to accommodate mowing around an obstacle like that or would I have to move it out of the way each time it needs to mow that zone?
It is critical that the RTK unit be installed as high and with as much view of the sky as possible. Yes, it will mow under that tree when it leafs out. There are different modes for collision avoidance; any of them should allow Luba to mow around an object that is not defined as a "no mow zone." We are going to release a new video with some criticism of Luba in a couple of weeks that you may want to watch.
No. The link between the RTK and the mower is 900 mhz and has a range of greater than 1/2 MILE. Large metal bldgs COULD cause some interference. Clear view of the sky is most important. Although, the newest units have 3D vision which helps eliminate dead spots.
Had another question for you. I see that various models have different suggested acreages to mow. Is that a hard limit, or if you’re willing to recharge more often, can you mow larger amounts? Thanks for your time.
From what I can tell from the specs, the 3000, 5000, and 10000 units are identical, so you are simply paying for unlocking more mapping area in the app. The 1000 appears to be the sam, except it has a smaller battery. Realistically, if you live in an area with lush, thick, fast growing grass, I wouldn't recommend planning on mowing more than about 1 acre per machine. It simply doesn't have enough time to keep up. The Luba does not mow wet grass very well as it gets gummed up with wet clippings. This limits our cutting time to after the dew burns off, reducing the number of possible cutting hours. The Husqvarna Automower has an independent, free rotating disk to guard the cutting disk, which enables them to cut wet grass better. I wish Luba had a similar guard however we still feel Luba is a far superior machine overall. Also, there is no worry about limiting mowing or setting the recharge times as it is all done automatically. Luba will cut for 2-3 hours and then go back to its recharge station and charge for 1-2 hours and then continue. You can set schedules for different task areas any way you wish. We usually just visually determine which areas needs cutting and manually select and start that zone. This time of year, our Lubas are cutting every day. Hope that helps.
At the beginning of each season, and periodically throughout the mowing season, we do walk through, pick up the bigger stuff. In the video, A. remarks when he hears it hit sticks. It seems to do fine but realize that the occasional branch, stick or rock can chew up the blades. In the video, when he flips it over, he comments on blade wear due to hitting branches, etc.

I spent about 6 and a half hours to get my password reset. I did not forget it as I had it witten down, but it would not work. 21 hours to address the main problem still persisting from last summer. It is an eye opener.Trust me it is not pretty and there are those that will consider my behaviour and language vulgar and assinine. But I do not care, as it may have given me results. I also have emails from last summer. One in particular has 51 replies to it. I have pictures and video. This has been a very ugly experience.

It was past 2 in the morning and I was also finishing up a 6 hour chat with Mammotion support if you can call it support. I was tired as hell as I had been up till 4 chating with them the previous morning. If you are interested I can post all of my chat conversations from this spring with them on a couple conditions. First I want you to read all of it (does not have to be in one go) and second I want it pinned somewhere near the top so it is easy for all to find. If agreeable I will have to go through it and remove any personal information. Trust me it is ugly. I copied and pasted all into a word document, all 120 pages which are not real dense. Just 31,843 words. 6 hours worth of chat to get my password reset. I had it writen down from last year so it is not like I actually forgot it. 21 hours of chat to deal with navigation problems that have plauged the machine from the first day I received it a year ago. There is at least one email last summerr that went back and forth for 51 replies. There is pictures and video of it in my flower bed. The chat goes around in circles and as I get madder and more frustrated my language demeaner hits rock bottom. There are those that would find my behaviour downright disgusting and vulgar but I am making no appologies as I believe I got results if they will keep up their end of what we agreed to.
