That is easily the most beautiful sounding engine I have ever heard. Thank you.
Jeffrey Isbell it sounds amazing, another great sounding engine to listen to is holdens 304 motor
The cop asks : " is this how you drive a customer's car " ?
Answer : " Uh Yeah, this is how the customer will be driving it, so we need to make sure it hold up...uh uh officer "
This is my favorite Nelson video by far. Would have loved to hear how fast the cop said they were going. Toms reaction is priceless. "Is that what was,,,, Yea."
I love our hard-working officers but what kinda dick has the balls to ticket the master atop of his stead. Seriously, if I were that cop's coworker I would kick his ass just outta respect. Breaking the law is wrong, but this was R&D and nothing is more omnipotent than Nelson"s Racing engines R&D ! Nothing !!
I cant believe Tom still has a license.
What a sweet setup! ITB's make everything sound better! It's a testament to NRE that you can hear the engine over those helical/straight cut gears though. Every trans I've been around with helical gears are usually louder than the engine!
To each their own..Never been a ford guy, Grew up on Chevy it's all I've ever owned but THAT mustang is the best looking car ford has ever made! and the fact that tom got his hands on it just makes it that much better! In my eyes Tom and his designs are the wave of the hot rod and HP future!
How in the hell, you made it that snappy with a wide torque curve and wide LSA cam, is beyond me. Absolute dream engine.
not only is he a good engine builder, he can really drive these monsters
I want to buy a condo on the same block as his shop..ahh the sounds and smells every day
This is how you drive your customers cars?
That CHP officer obviously didn't have a clue what kind of customers Tom has or he wouldn't of asked such a dumb question. lol
I would choose this car over every car they have done
Een Mcqueen its def nice!!! As for me id rather see it in a 69 mach 1..just cuz i love mach1s
That thing is a wicked beast....sounds better than anything out there
This may be the best sounding American car I've ever heard!
"This is how you drive a customers car?"...smfh...lmfao...if only the CHP officer knew what a gentle cruise that was compared to most.
This vid made my day. Love seeing you take the ticket with a sense of humor !
Been watching this for years and it never gets old. The best sound ever by NRE
why are there so many car guys in California when California does everything they can to get rid of them
C.W._Clearing well obviously because California’s the best place to drive them 🙂. Nah, but you know, some people focus on upholding safe and healthy standards and others focus on pleasure.
Absolutely badass. The sound of that engine is incredible. Music to my ears.
score another one for *"REASONS CALIFORNIA DESERVES NONE OF MY MONEY"*
Excellent video, guys! As someone who watched a pro tuner tear out his hair over a V6 ITB system (coughing back thru the butterflies at 3500 - fun, losing idle randomly, etc.), I can appreciate the work that went into this setup. Cheers!
what really screws an individual runner system is no plenum shared between cylinders. so every time the intake valve closes, the air fuel mixture has to go...someplace. typically back thru the runner system, which is why you always saw a cloud of fuel vapor over the old Hilborn setups when they were not running WOT (like warming up in the pits). Sequential EFI should stop spraying when the intake valve is nearly on the seat.
amazing motor! His engines are the best! I allways use a radar dector in everthing I drive! You really need to invest in one.
Thank you for bringing me past 1988 on doing the last hotrod for me. Think I'll have to do the 632 for 91 Vette Doug Nash 5 speed but like that 6 speed. Thank you for new school lessons! Yep, Had to sub.
Oh she is a wild one ....hellecorn 😎👍 Great job Tom Nelson 👍 master work only
The mullet helmet, and the casino limo. Wow!
Wow! That is one awesome Stang. I love the sound of it.
Hey Nelson, you done it again brother. You always seem to amazed me, I have a 2004, 2.8lc K.B cobra terminator fully blown done by the other Nelson on the East Coast at Evolution Performance. WHP and TQ is about the same as your rating from the motor you created, the amazing thing is that you have achieved it naturally aspirated. Back in 2003 the man himself John Colletti, stated that the guys was working on an 5.4litter naturally aspirated motor for the terminator but it just didn't have the kick he was looking for, so they went supercharger. I think he should have commissioned you for the build up, maybe then ford would not have received so much hate mail for using supercharge motors back then. Times have change almost every car manufacturer is using some form of power adder today. The look on your face when drove through the tunnel at 7:34 in the video is priceless. Your work speaks for itself and your engineering knowledge is 2nd to none. Keep the excellent work coming.
funny thing, Ford used Paxtons going back to the 312 Y block in 1957. Studebaker did too.
I'm not a Ford guy by ANY means. that's a beautiful car! thumbs up to the Nelson crew!
I want that transmission and viper rear end in my car
Not a Ford guy but I don't need to be to love this. I only need to be a racer. Awesome....in every way.
Very nice sound of exhausts,\0/ , Tom,King of Engines, congratulations from Brazil!!!
Tom's laugh sounds like Burt Reynolds laugh at 12:40 into the video lol...
I like everything you guys have done so far.
Most excellent, dude (cue the air guitar).
You guys are crazy and your shop is in the valley were I live. Very nice.
Tom your builds are awesome!
LoL I was always wondering if you ever get pulled over, great video.
What a nice rad sounding car!!
this is EASILY the best sounding V8 i have ever heard
Tom Nelson has the best job in the world ....Hands down...
It's all fun till the blue lights come on. Lol. Nice to know even the big boys get their ass puckered by the law occasionally. BTW, coolest Mustang on the planet.
really like that intake setup !!!
Damn that sounds so good!
The cars you guys make are so F%$^#ING AWESOME!!!
Sounds awesome its a screamer for sure.
I build the most amazing racing engines in the world yes this is how i drive my customers car!
Awesome car, and great build, that would be a blast to drive. Alas, on the road, it is simply a ticket magnet. I'm afraid I would be banned from the road rather quickly with this beast for lack of a drivers license. Track only, and more of a show piece than anything else, but an awesome show piece at that.
Oh man this is gold
That was funny!!!! I love that car!!!! Getter done!!!
U guys are the best!
Oh shit 'The Man' ... Extra .5" is all she needed, insane sounds...
The end was great
Love IT, Greets from Germany 💪😊
I would be the coolest cop. I'd be like, "Holy shit dudes, you know how fast you were going?". "What's this fucken thing cost?" "Can you take a picture of me in the drivers seat?" "I hate my life"
Tom's laugh sounds just like Burt Reynolds
this is one of the best videos I ever seen on CZcams. how much can you build one for me Tom?
Well this is awesome! Great Car, funny guys, a good day and police :D
Tom, your laugh reminds me of oldschool Burt Reynolds. Watch outtakes at the end of Cannonball Run with Burt and Dom Deluise. Classic.
bad ass ride,i want one !!!!
Freak'n AWESOME Bro !!!
very good job !!
Tony Mamo is the man. Does excellent head work, especially for the LS motors.
Great car and the coolest CEO ever!
that is a brutal exhaust note
Great Video, Great Car
A true craftman!!!
Freaking Amazing!!
Sounds awesome!!! Good work nelson!
Around 16:20 he says he never even thought about turning the radio on ? The sound from under the hood is music to MY ears. He should produce soundtracks from his "machines". Can't afford his cars, play an NRE soundtrack while driving your own car.
I wonder about doing a 557 Ford Stroker with Twin 102mm on a Hellenor!
Was wondering if there's a timing control system I can use on my dodge,??
Tom Nelson has the worlds greatest job.
The end was hilarious
This movie is better than
Steve McQueen's Lemans
i live practically down the street from nelsons shop
would be cool to hang with him and test drive some cars :)
My parents were smart enough to supervise my outdoor play time till I understood not to go in the road. That there are people out there who ignore better judgment and pass on blind hills. The hicks where I grew up would whip them when they got near the road. There's a point where personal accountability comes into play. The highway system was built to accommodate vehicles.
Mr. Nelson has also been down this road many times. CHP heard him a mile away tho.
This car should've been in Gone in 60 Seconds movie. It sounds so much better than the original Eleanor.
best sounding car youve ever built!!!
Nice rig sir !
Awesome build....
Nice work mate... A bit lucky the cop didn't check your footage for evidence eh...
This thing is just amazing I want that car mustang ftw
Where do I buy one? :D
GUY'S I LOVE IT MAN....THATS REAL AS IT GET'S......THANK'S FOR THE RIDE GREAT CAMERA SHOT'S......BEST ONE YET AND I FELT LIKE I WAS IN THE CAR WITH YA....I WAS GOING OOOH FUCK WHEN YA PASSED THE COP.......HEHEHE NEVER EVER STOP .......HELL YEAAAAAA

Think i would have found a less populated road but i love it
Best passenger in the world. Hide everything 🤣
That smile on you mates face at 7.30 says it all :-) , Im fitting a Morrison crossram to my SBF soon what brand sequential is this , Cheers .
Damn....now I'm thinking about that Windsor swapped in place of the 302 in my 2200 lb street race Pinto. I'd be ordering M/T drag radials by the boxcar lot....and going through them even faster!
Looking at the dyno sheets I'd expect more torque on the webber design and cnc heads is this a consv. Tune for Miles per gallon?
fucking pigs always have to ruin the fun love the car love everything you've done every one a masterpiece love maximus the most wickedest 68 charger ever should be put in the shithsonian institute your cars blows foose and trepanier and everybody else out of the water when i hit the six fourty nine that's the lotto here in ontario canada i'm putting my order in for a 70 cuda hemi of course i love your video's i love that your cars are so streetable but the number one thing i love about N.R.E. is your attention to the littlest detail because it's all in the detail fucking right your attention to detail is nothing short of impeccable as the british would say bloody brilliant! hope to someday call there and accualy get to talk to you in person the fucks will be flying for sure ha.ha.ha.it doesn't matter what the brand make you build you just have to love it because it's another Nelson masterpiece and you just take in all the beautiful detail and you just ooze with envy for the lucky bastard who's taking delivery of that baby lol!
Was it Zimmer? Love his "if I ever see you..." dirka dirka dirka at the end. Gotta love the Nanny State.
Crack up...you Rock Tom...
"formula 1 hotrod" & "sounds like a bike" lmao what a bonehead muscle car meathead thing to say LMAOO "LIKE A BIKE, LIKE A F" AHAHAHA ohh what a good fukin' laugh I had. Anyways, cool build! Love me some high revving Ford's over those lazy pushrod
