Books don't need to match! They are allowed to be chaotic; it shows that you have a wide range of tastes. Also, the daily videos are the best
I agree. It shows a curious mind and a well rounded person. I have to say this is the most ridiculous thing I have seen. How can you find the book you are looking for? Take them all off to find the one you want? Emily, you have lost the plot. I can’t even explain it as style over substance. 🙄

One of the nicest things about this vlogmas Em, besides seeing the beautiful new house, is your bond with Cody. It’s adorable how often he’s in every clip, right by your side and you can see how well loved and well trained he is.
The scene of you folding sweaters in the bathroom while Cody is listening to you is too cute. I think that Cody is convinced you're talking to him.

Theres something called candel warmer lights that would sort your situation with not needing to light a candle and deal with open flames. It works like an electric wax melter but its for candles. Can we tumbs this up so she sees it? i tryed to type it the other day when she was talking about it too!
You can get candle lamps! They warm up and melt the wax without having to light the candles!

You can get a candle warmer which plugs in and warms up so it warms the wax and you can still enjoy the aroma of the candles without the flame!
Agreed that books dont need to match and you could also style it by keeping cookery books upright and stack the fictions the other way etc! My favourite podcast is the Viall Files and their relationship Q&A (agony aunt style) :)

Don’t like the back to front books at all, but mine are also very mis-matched in style/genre/size and I have organised them by colour, it brings continuity to a very otherwise mismatched bookshelf.
So how would that have worked if the relationship had worked out ? Would you have moved into your house alone?

Books really don’t need to be perfectly organized. When I see ppl with perfect bookshelves I think they are just for decoration. Chaotic shelves means they are read and loved. As for candles, you don’t have to burn them. You can melt them just like wax melts. They make electric bases and really cool lamps just for candles.
FYI, I put my small Diptyque candles in my dresser drawers; they function like a sachet and I get a wonderful scent each time I open the drawer.

Cody is obviously such a happy and loved dog- I have 3 dogs and they make my life better simply by being in it.
My oldest dog is nearly 7. I so wish I could have him with me forever. He’s not showing any signs of aging or slowing down and I dread the day that he does.

You can use a wax warmer with the candles :) Just literally set the candle on the warming element
Two and a half hours isn’t far away at all! When I left home at 18 I moved across the World to America for three years! When I finally came home, I didn’t actually go back to my home town in Northamptonshire, I moved to Reading, so it was about two and a half hours and suddenly it was SO easy to pop and see my family. When you spend three years driving two or three hours to go to a party or football game, suddenly it feels like no time at all! ❤

They're a good idea but they ruin the aesthetic of the candle in my opinion
Are tea mug warmers a thing in UK. I put candles on those. NO FLAME! And if you don't remember to turn it off, no worry. The small buttons inside your jacket hold the larger buttons on the front stable from dangling. They must be heavy well-made button. It's a tailoring thing. You don't use them to close but a sign of quality construction.

If you want to use candles without burning them get a candle warmer. It simply melt the candles and releases the scent and it lasts longer
@@Glayd0161 I'm from the US so it maybe a little different but it's a called a candle warmer and it slowly melts the candles in the jar. I have one that way I can feel safe when I am out and I leave a candle. Maybe try electric candle warmer as they plug into the wall.

If you don’t want to light your candles but want to use them, you can get a candle warmer/lamp which melts the candles without lighting them

I don't know if this'd help at all, but you can get "candle warmer lamps" that melt your candles without lighting them, just in case you don't use them because of the open flame.
I'd imagine you can get one of those timer plug attachments so you know you're only putting them on for a set amount of time, too.

Why are you a candle free house-hold? I am too, sadly, cause I LOVE candles. And sometimes, so rarely I will. But I bought gorgeous prints from desenio and frames and the smoke blackened them within a day! Thankfully I caught it early, but I found the smoke from the candles with staining things 😫. I find the Espa ones don’t do that so I’ll light it sometimes 😋.
I love peppermint tea with honey and lemon. You have to try it.
