- An SPMT combination consists of two units; a trailer unit and a power pack unit (PPU). The power pack unit powers the machine and is usually mounted at the rear. A trailer unit comprises 4, 5, 6 or 8 axle lines.
The units can be joined together in a variety of configurations. Like a giant Meccano system, everything fits together. All wheels steer through 360 degrees, enabling the vehicle to drive forwards, backwards, sideways, diagonally, through a radius and even carrousel.
All functions are operated and controlled by a single operator, working from one central panel, irrespective of the number of axle lines involved. The loading surface can be adjusted from 1200 to 1800 millimetres height so that the load can be lifted and set down onto the supports without the use of auxiliary equipment.
Moreover, the hydraulic suspension system compensates for tilted road surfaces, allowing the load to be kept level under all circumstances. It also allows the wheels to adjust themselves automatically to any bump on the road surface.

Such a remarkable piece of engineering, it amazes me what a man can make
Very impressive! Brilliant design, incredible load capacity. Just...wow.
This video convinced me to buy this machine even though i have no need for it... yet.
U still don't need it now,?
What about now ?
Good for moving house.
And now?
Have you used it yet?
They had these on the Wheatstone Gas Project in West Australia to move all the Modules. Fantastic to watch live.
I think they used this when they built the pyramids.
I think youre right !
@Jon Victor Min Yun Tham they did, the lizzard people helped.
Giorgio Tsukalos: Mammoets!
@Jon Victor Min Yun Tham Oh god… r/wooosh for you 🙄
Here, I'll apply your thinking one step further;
"They used this to build the pyramids"!
Of course, I claim intellectual indemnity from all of the above....
Great use of these in Boca Chica.
Yes....The Starship Superheavy transporter.
One of the best inventions in the heavy transport industry!
Yes, indeed!
Remember this machine from Discovery channel's documentary where it was used to move a very huge building 😰
*Really Impressed with Mammoet* 👏👏
This is the company i worked for ...we worked with these almost everyday ...brilliant technology ...We have just moved over 7000 tonnes for over 20 km
whoever invented the spmt should get an award and patent!
It's like well synchronized form of ballet dance. Marvellous machines, a friend to mankind for ongoing development path.
Very impressive engineering!
Is this what they ment when they said elephants helped build the pyramids
Thats one cool piece of kit
Wow....I m really really Impressed 😍😍
What a *BADASS TECHNOLOGY*
Moving 360° Awesome 💪💪
This one is coolest video I ever seen before
Como avanza la tecnología 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏼
Awesome design marvelous engineering works..
Show muito foda! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
I have seen the same style at the Sumitomo Shipyard Japan before BUT have a canopy for the driver.
really interesting machine!
Fantastic innovation 👌
👍👍👍🇧🇷 *Gostei tanto que vou comprar algumas dessas !* Ps: Hoje deve estar melhores ainda !
That's a wow....
marvel engineering...
Awesome engineering..
Engineering Awsomeness !
I need a SPMT in my life now
Awesome 👍👍👌👌
Excellent
Very Practical system !
It's amazing
amazing
WoW.😮 Nxt Generation.. Is Simple Thought.. Good Working..Possess
This is such a beautiful Machine😂😂
1:32 why would you do that?
Mammoet: Why not?
Syfiduendeakasirropfrow
very good
Ok its *satisfying*
nice
Very nice tech
Super
Wow nice
I saw how Mammoet works in the Yamal-LNG project. 👍👍👍
Well that just left me with more questions 😂
Awesome engineeing.
These platforms remind me of the Thunderbirds episode when the supersonic airliner lands on remote controlled platforms that looked JUST LIKE THESE!!!!
Great
Nice
I want this!
Very ncie video
قوة...
This is amazing. Does anyone know the software to make this ?
Mast trick hai bhai
100% satisfied
ওরে বাবা 🤨
Amazing 😍
Amazing muchness
I liked those giant nuts and bolts. What size thread was that? M300 x 35?
I'm at work watching this. I work in a shipyard. We own 6 of these to load the ship on the lanch ship. It's an everyday sight for me.
What do you want with that comment? A cookie?
Great piece of engineering imagination made practical
Salt Lake City Utah - Innovate 80 - 2008 multiple bridge moves!!
To Good yaar
Watching SpaceX move their rockets around with these.
Rumour has it : they can move the earth
Я тоже себе хочу такую!))
Imma get one of these for the house for the kids and I to play with.
Get enough and you could move your house without disassembly.
@@benj.kerman609
True, eh!! 🤣
I Wish to get one 🤷♂️
Wow supper good brine
👍👍👍👍
Gut
I love mommoet company
Good
Lego in real life.Well done!!!
👍
👍🏻
Does space x has one of these?
mükemmel...
the power pack unit in the aft section of the SPMT needs to be smaller & compact for further ease of use . . .
Definately gonna attract autobots
I thought this thing was ginormous until 1:10
I want to know more about the power unit
What's the price of one . I want to buy
i severely need those things
even thou i am a student
That baby is moving SpaceX's Starships around. I wonder if a bunch of them could've lifted the Saturn V with the Launch Umbilical Tower to the launch pad?
They moved 8500 ton furnaces with these things, it's the beauty of them being networked together. You can scale up to pretty insane load capacities. Saturn V with the entire mobile launch platform would be easily within their capacity, even fully fueled.
Damn what the hell of it. without human driver it is look like something uncontrol. perhaps
How much each one ???
How $$€€ ???
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Wonderfull machine 👍👍👍
why cant the cars be made like this as well. Great product.
increaed complexity,costs, maintainance
What is the ttl max lifting capacity?
At least 5 kilos
Please share the equipment data sheet of "Mammoet Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT)"
Hi there! You can find all the technical information here www.mammoet.com/equipment/transport/self-propelled-modular-transporter/spmt/
Why not joining horizontally too ? That would be more fun!
how much is it ?
TBH I thought this was a Space engineers mod. Q_Q (That how tired I am atm)
Goldhofer is Best car?
verry verry nice
Berapaan yach,mau beli 1 buat pergi2 ngopi
SpaceX likes it.
but it can be pulled/pushed by a truck too right?
zhentrix calipso they are not moving small chips
Probably
Juliko Lim what do that have to do with his original comment
Some versions of these modules can do it, the hydraulic drive is disconnected and only the leveling system works. It can still operate in self propelled mode in tricky parts of the route, as you need the powerpack installed for steering and leveling to work.
Se ve bien virtual pero la realidad es diferente
Looks too good to be true, honestly.
and it is true, watched it in real life when they were building a factory in modules, truly amazing pieces of engineering (youtube if full of real life video's of the SPMT's from mammoet)
I thought it was huge!
I saw these on Logan ( film)
Wheals are like that of centipede.
Im here after seeing space x video and this little guy was in the video
Thanks for stopping by!
