You need sunlight in your eyes in early morning and late evening. Not looking directly at sun but letting the sunlight in through your eyes when sun is low in morning/evening. This helps yours seasonal disorder and improving Vit D

Excellent information Doctors, I'm 67yrs i had cataract surgery 5yrs ago and developed floaters 2yrs ago it was soooo annoying went to my eye Dr and he said it's age related and I have to keep it as a friend those words made me kind of angry so I decided to cut out sugar and wheat almost 90% I'm doing intermittent fasting and eating healthy to my surprise the floaters are almost gone I barely see them sometimes. I've needed to have my cataract removed since before the covid epidemic. Clinics closed down & I've had to wait since 2017. Well I was told to take alpha lipoic acid cuz my vision had gotten worse. I took the alpha lipoic acid for 2 weeks prior to an appt I had been waiting for my eyesight. The optometrist would not provide me with glasses until I saw another optometrist for a 2nd opinion for my cataract removal. Well, I've now taken the alpha lipoic acid for 3 weeks now. Diagnosis was mild cataract (not needing surgery), and my vision is at 20/20! Only need glasses for close up reading. I was shocked. I wanted to share this miracle with you.

If you remember the movie Predator, for the second time I have gotten a zigzagged Predator type movement in my eye. No headache. But I did have cataract surgery in that eye in June 2022.

Tip for dry eye-->My Opthalmologist did a tear test on me and I produce enough tears, so he suggested warming up the Meibomian glands by putting a warm damp washcloth compress on closed eyelids to “melt” the oils in the glands

Dry eye.. I contributed my dry eyes with being anemic.. I added Chlorella/spirulina to my vitamin list & have not had problems since. & drank much more h20..thank you for all the info you share

I am in the Caribbean and I enjoy Dr.Bryan and Dr.Mandel. My eyes have blurry vision and I would like Dr.Bryan to come back and explain about that.
Make sure to have enough vitamins intake. I once got blurry vision and strong headaches from fasting a longer period of time than my body wanted me to and all came back to normal after getting back to my normal diet eating meat and cheese besides vegetables.

Dr. Mandell, I live in Germany. I have has cataract removed from both eyes. My problem is constant watering. I have been using drops which is a little thicker than normal. Unfortunately, I am still experiencing watering especially when it is windy. My eye lids also irritates. I seldom wear makeup but I shall follow the advise.and get new make up every three months thank you and God bless you both for your great help.

If you do not have a gall bladder, I found that supplementing meals with bile salts helpful for availability of the fat soluble vitamins (A, E, D, etc. that I was taking). It appears to have corrected my dry eye problem very well. May be worth a try. May God bless.

If you have glaucoma, hot compresses over the eyes for ten minutes once or twice a day will help. Make sure you keep the pressure low because damage to the optic nerve and peripheral vision can creep on you without noticing until there's a lot of damage.

Thanks so much to both of you. Your suggestions for floaters was spot on...when in my 60's I experienced them in both eyes. I found a supplement all you mentioned including fish oil. Also eat blueberries 5 times a week. Within a year it all disappeared. I'll be 80 soon. and still no more floaters.
