I was 13 years old when I watched this and I remember thinking we were going to get destroyed by this brazil ..... they had Ronaldinho, Robinho, Adriano, kaka all at their moment ...... and we just needed jared :)
México plays better every time they play Brazil and I still don't know why, but if they would play like that every time we could actually be in the finals of a world cup easy

as a team is impossible to keep that mentality and stress level every game... you have a base level which you can play under or above in times, sometimes you can really push yourself to higher levels but only for a game or two but will eventually return to your base level. just look at teams that did something great for a season, but the next season they go back to being the crappy team they were.

No sólo por la preparación de la jugada por parte de todo el equipo, sino por la gran técnica para rematar de espaldas, con poco ángulo y alejándose del arco, y por la calidad de su marcador (Maldini) y del portero al que dejó parado (Buffón).
Quizá eran el mejor defensa y el mejor portero de ese momento..
esta seleccion para mi fue la mejor que ha dado mexico en su historia :)

The Argentine? He's probably just as Mexican as he is Argentinian.. he played professionally in Mexico and has coached there most of his coaching career.. he knows just as much about mexican futbol than any other mexican.
The Brazilians actually were offside also on the third penalty. Too bad the ref didn't have the balls to call it back yet again.

Que nos es el mismo arbitro que favoreció a los argentinos cuando jugaron contra México en el Mundial de Alemania 2006 cuando no recuerdo si fue al Kikin Fonseca o Borghetti, Coloccini lo tuvo que faulear afuera del área porque quedaba solo frente al portero y no lo quiso expulsar? Hubiera sido el 2-1 para México sin tiempos extras que jugarse.
