  • In 2011 and 2012 Rosell Media produced Anguilla's first 24 hour Carnival Channel that aired on Caribbean Cable Communications. The channel was allowed Rosell Media to expand it's Hot Spot brand into television for the first time.
The Hot Spot was an idea birthed in 2005 from Crispin Brooks. The Hot Spot started as a weekly radio show hosted by Nakishma Rogers, Tyrone "Latest" Brooks and Jeanette Guzman. In 2009 three new hosts took over. They were Jean-Claude "Dj Jeanie" Patterson, Elidad Baez and Erica Edwards. The show also expanded it's presence with a website www.hotspotisland.com.
From its inception the show was innovative, provocative and cutting edge. For the first time in Anguilla, listeners could comment via text message, twitter and facebook on a radio program. In addition the show was not afraid to address any topic as long as it was of interest to the 15-35 demographic that the show targeted. After a successful run with short videos on its website in 2009, Rosell Media decided to expand the brand and took the plunge and entered Anguilla's Cable System with a channel for a month. the risk paid off. The MTV style shows would allow the public for the first time, to see local artists, bands, organizers and contestants as they truly were to be seen... as STARS! Three beautiful and energetic hosts, Tiffany Rogers, Elidad Baez and Alfa Akbar kept the Anguillian public entertained with their antics and unforgettable interviews. Here now is a look back at what was undeniably a magical time in Anguilla which resulted in a marvelous channel!
