Will Blizzard Save Diablo 4? Loot Reborn May Not Be Enough

This may be the last chance for Diablo 4 to be successful with Last Epoch and Path of Exile 2 on the horizon.

I got to try Diablo 4 because of game pass last month , it seem better then what it was on release... but it still has alot of work needed, i kinda looking forward more to POE 2 and Titan quest 2
Been waiting since the beta for the game to get better. Sounds like I need to give it another try.
As someone trying to get into these types of games, I’m interested in seeing how Diablo 4 feels after the update.
One of the problems with Diablo 4 is that it's just not epic - you spend 15 mins in Hell during the campaign and that's it.
After that, the Gates of Hell are closed, and you're supposed to just fight basic mobs in some woods or caves the entire time for slightly better gear
Diablo is supposed to be a AAA game, but it feels like a heavily monetized indie game with a Gucci belt

problem is, people under 30 might not care about diablo franchise - diablo immoral probably cured them of that and was their only experience. its only us old timers the game is aimed at and we dont have the time to grind like we did in the 90s, and if we dont get anywhere fast... we move on and dont come back. especially parents who have even less time to play. thats why diablo 4 went the direction it did. they remembered the comments d3 was too cartoony coloured, and went all dark and horrible again. i found the campaign in d3 replayable, from time to time at least. i did the campaign in d4 one time it was so long and depressing. if i had to buy the skip button i would have skipped the campaign after act 1 of diablo 4.
d4 was a chore even skipping the campaign, and too many barriers putting off people who didnt want a hard time (most of us) vs the committed gamers with cat like reflexes who want it even harder to play. capstone dungeons to get out of world tier one put me off. i tried it one time had no fun died a lot and said 'forget it'. and i left the game for a long time. i came back after getting a better pc ironically just after season 4 dropped. and i'm having a lot of fun. more than the previous time, loving helltides, even did some nightmare dungeons, able to play world tier 3 and still enjoy it.
i think if d4 doesnt survive it will be because too many say 'it isnt enough' and people hear that and drop it or dont play it, which would be a shame. self fulfilling prophecy.
I've seen enough Rocky movies to make me believe that you can take alot of punches, get knocked down, and booed by crowds, but never count out a heart and soul. Diablo will get back up, survive and thrive. It's just the end of round 3. lol
