I'm Indian, and I will say my mother used to massage our scalps with some hair oils like a few times a week growing up, and my hair grew like 1.5 to 2 inches each month. I know because I ALWAYS got the same haircut and got it every 4 weeks on the dot. I'm pretty sure my mom made a standing appointment for like my entire childhood or something, lol. I think the scalp massages def helped, but im sure it was genetics too.

Hey everyone. I forgot to mention what to do afterwards. I dont use too much of the oil .....of the fertilizer when I do this so I dont have to wash afterwards. I just style. I massage twice a week. Mid week I do it like you see in the video.
I do this on dry hair. Keep in mind this is a SCALP massage not hair. This technique focuses on the scalp.....the skin in which stimulation from here brings benefits to our hair.
Then the next time I do it is wash day naturally cause of the way we wash our hair. Think about it. You move your fingers or invigorator similar to massaging your scalp when washing.

YESSSS Your hair CAN GROW MORE than an inch a month because IVE DONE IT!!!! About 2 years ago, I watched a video on the "green house effect" in growing your hair, also she would lay upside down so that the blood rushing to her head STIMULATED GROWTH!!! I did an experiment and I did it for 30 days and my hair grew 2.5 INCHES!!! I have video proof on my phone!!! So yes love it is possible!!!

Yes, i do believe natural 4c hair can grow on average 1 inch a month. Retention is a whole other issue. Like u said in another video, environmental influences are not kind to 4c hair. Hair can flourish during the summer and when winter comes, so can breakage. I always felt like my hair grew faster after a big chop (strange but true) then the growth rate slows after a certain point. Im low-key addicted to big chopping, and can easily grow 4 inches within 6 months. Hair grows with almost little to no effort, retention is key. #SealThoseEndsBabygirl
Jojos Mom when growth slows, take vitamins or supplements like biotin, iron pills, hair, skin & nails, or hairfinity. that's the only thing that pushed my hair past the limits
Jojos Mom I don't get it though. Everyone says their hair is better during the summer, but my hair is crap during summer time and my hair is beautiful and growing in the winter.
Panda Tamer My hair grows like wild fire in the winter, as well. I have deduced that it is because I protective style like a bandit in the winter. I wear it out more in the warmer months and get a bit laxed with my hair care because I assume the elements are not causing much damage. I'm going to try to be vigilant year-round this year and see if that makes a difference for me.

Sounds like after 4 inches your the ends of your hair start needing a little help, when they were new their strength could take you up to 4 inches, so no need for supplements, just update hair care practices.

Hey listen I wouldn't believe this myself if it hadn't happen to me but I big chopped my mom's elbow-length hair to her SCALP in Jan. 2013 and before Dec. 2016, her hair was below her tailbone! My mom does absolutely nothing to her hair and it grows. I LCO, give my hair TLC, I water it, pray over it, turn upside down, massage it and talk to it, - no-thing works, ma! Now, I'm just trying to keep what I got healthy & I've been able to do that.

Because I believe hair growth depends on what you eat, how much you manipulate your hair, and keeping it mosturized and clean. For exaxmple I live in Canada and in the winter its -35 degrees outside!! So I have to keep a protective style and keep moisturizing it, so a lot of manipulation ( less length) but when I look at my auntie she lives in the Caribbean island and her hair is type 4c too bit she has beautiful long hair! Because she eats fruits and vegetables every single day and the ocean water over they're is literally a magic potion for hair. So it's possible but it depends on where you live

@nappyfu to answer the napchat question: based on what I learned in forensics back in high school, black and white women and men have discontinuous hair cells which means if you cut it etc, it takes LONGER time for it to grow back. however, other POC (Asian, middle eastern, Hispanic) , they have continuous hair cells. which means their hair grow much faster even if it was cut. I hope this helps 😊
