I use the Mission R-point Expert reponting tool and it does the job. But this Winmau Craftsman seems to be much more durable! Obviously a quality machine. 👍
I bought a repointing tool about 11 months ago after hearing your suggestion of how cheap they are these days. This one wasn’t an option I saw. I have enjoyed experimenting with different point lengths since then. If I didn’t have one, I think I would spring for one of these after seeing the ease with which you were able to pull and add a different point. I have to use gloves to hold the middle section when adding a point with my current one.
Well I missed out on that same deal. I was on Dart Shopper page over the weekend and actually saw that and thought it was a mistake and never pulled the trigger. Boy am I sorry now. I checked back later and saw the price had been corrected. Actually I was afraid they would have simply cancelled my order to tell me it was priced wrong. You got very lucky they honored that insane price. It sure does look like a super high quality repointing tool.
I also bought this tool a month ago and yes it's a beast that one like you say.
when you said you had no darts i thought you were going to bury 3 pointing tools into the t 20 lol.
That was so easy with that tool. In our place we use hammer and a nail as the point.

I have a designa repointer and I tend to scratch even non specialty points because I have to tighten it really tight or it will slip when trying to pull out or install a point. So what I do is wrap the point in electrical tape so I can tighten it really good and it tends to work okay. I wonder if this tool works better so I wouldn't need to do that
I bought one 2 weeks ago Normal price. But 5th set i repointed the threat for the barrel screw was destroyed, did not set special force so think was manufactory fault. (A new set is on its way)
The nut on the barrel screw was also little lose, did you fixated that or is that normal.
Ps do you now if you can easy replace that barrel screw (their was none in the set) and if their are repair sets like for the designa?
That's really a steal. I also use the Designa one and I paid something between 40-50€ for it.
Is there also something to pay attention when installing Mission Sniper Point Ripple's?
Same thing with Sniper points. Just avoid clamping down on the flange because you'll gouge them up
I messed up so bad repointing my Chizzy darts. Cranked down a half turn too many on ended up bending the dart. I was installing the Winmau freeflo points. I couldn’t believe the point was stronger than the darts… does that say more about the point or less about the quality of that Harrow metal. 🤷🏻♂️
What can you do about a point that won't get a tight fit when installed? I tried installing the Winmau free flow points on my Joe Cullen darts 😅

So in using this I somehow bent the screw that the barrel goes on. Is there something I'm doing wrong? What's the purpose of the nut that's on there maybe something to do with that maybe?
I sat here and thought about it for a few minutes. I have absolutely no idea how it's possible to bend that screw. There shouldn't be any sideways force on it at all. Everything is all lined up. I'm at a loss to what you could have possibly done

Do you also have some problems with some brands to get out the standard points? Lately i have big problems with unicorn code darts. The black points are so strong installed. Number 2 is of i installed some Specialty Points and i change those for others the points fall out of the barrels can you explain what i do wrong?
The Josh Rock darts were a royal pain to get out. Those things were stuck in there really good. I was using my Designa tool though. If I used this one it would've been easier.

I use the Designa Pro Black tool. I sold off both of the Winmau ones

Wow, Worldwide coming in clutch since I am looking for a repointer since I would love to start repointing my darts. Anyways, should I be nervous about repointing since it would be my first time 😅😅
I didn't think so with my first set. Just take your time, there's no need to go fast. As you watch what's happening when removing the old points you'll see how it works. Like Worldwide said, just get the grip on the parallel section of the point. Once you've done your first set you'll have it down

That was an issue on dartshopper. They have some serious problems with prices after latest Winmau Launch. I didn't want to use their mistake to cheat, but some people have bought some darts for PERCENT of their original price. Well, I'm not that kind of person - anyways, great deal ;)
Here's how I look at it from a business point of view. I have given them $1000's of dollars in FREE promotion over this past year with almost nothing in return from them. I think they tossed me a free set of darts one time. So I'm not going to lose any sleep over their mistake. I paid what they asked 👍🏻
