A tour of the Jim Thompson House Museum - Bangkok, Thailand

Jim Thompson was an American businessman and architect who is famous in Thailand for starting the Thai silk industry after World War II. He was a great lover and collector or Asian art and has many paintings, sculptures, utensils, cookware and other items on display throughout his home and grounds. He also has many Buddhist artworks and very rare items in his collection.
Taking a tour through the grounds is fantastic as you learn about his life in Thailand up until his mysterious disappearance at age 61 where he went missing in the Cameron Highlands, Malaysia. His body was never recovered.
