You're not the only one, the end with Charlie talking about how Nick would never feel pressured or scared and everything was going to be perfect and it pans to Nick walking with a blissfully unaware smile on his face broke me.

That moment seen at 5:02 was fun, as the director Euros Lyn told Joe to ruffle Kit's hair this way, but Kit was never told this was going to happen, so the reaction we got was a real reaction from Kit and not from the character Nick. Season 2 had a lot more improvised scenes between the actors, small bits, but all gave this season more atmosphere.
the hair mess up that charlie/joe did to nick in the beginning was improv so that was kit connor's real reaction when he looked at him and said "that was uncalled for". so kit just really is a golden retriever puppy in real life too i guess, haha.
I just love how every time Ben speaks, Nick looks so so annoyed
It is interesting that they never kiss(ed) goodbye, because I think that was intentional. They usually say goodbye at the door, where other people could see. We see Charlie holding back earlier in the episode in the doorway, not wanting to push Nick’s boundaries. Then at the end we get Nick deciding to kiss Charlie in public, in front of their friends for the first time.
Actually its quite common that people in the UK use stuff like instagram and snapchat to text. And Alice has said that its easier for the show, as in you can see the icons so you know who's texting and whose view you're seeing currently. And also not as important but Instagram is a "big thing" in the comics

The thing about Ben is that he Manipulates people who are lonely and sad and makes him think that he is a great guy just for liking them. Imogen just fell for the same manipulation that Charlie did. A little different but Ben took Advantage of her Loneliness and her insecurities.

I've seen season 2 three times now and I love it. Episode 6 is my favorite with 4 a close second.
Also fun fact, the hair mess up where nick says "that was uncalled for" was improvised by joe (who plays charlie) and the director I believe it was? kit is very weird about his hair and his reaction in that scene is genuine. I love knowing that every time I see that scene haha

About using Instagram for messaging. Most people from countries outside of North America do not use Text. Most people use DM apps like Whatsapp or Facebook and/or Instagram. We stopped sending Texts years ago.

I've honestly just accepted and assumed that teenagers in the UK primarily text through ig DMs just how ppl in South America almost exclusively use WhatsApp and how US teens use snapchat
Yeah, honestly most people outside the US don't use text messages because there's a lot more people that use Android so it's not really convenient
In an interview Alice Oseman said that for production purposes instagram was the smoothest platform to use

The writers did a poll asking teens what platform they use to message more often and Instagram won!
They also tried different apps, but in the end Instagram was the best visually because the little icons make it very clear who's talking
(Speaking of polls, they also did one asking what's the most bisexual movie/movie that made you realize you're bi, and Pirates of the Carribeans won, so it was used in season 1 to help Nick figure out his sexuality!)

This show is literally my comfort show, and the 2nd season didn't change it a bit. 😍 Been waiting for your reactions!! Btw, if you ever feel like reacting to Asian show I highly recommend KinnPorsche! It's a Thai bl series with 1 season & 14 episodes. It's quite different from the other stuff you've reacted to 'cause it's a mafia series but the romance is outstanding and the plot will suck you in, also the actors are amazing❤🔥

I know you’re asking for the in-story reason they are messaging on Instagram. But the real-world reason is because it’s a great visual way to show what they are thinking. It’s also why we had so many scenes with them writing and deleting messages. In a book or comic you can get the inner dialogue. But for TV, there’s only a few ways to do that. One is a monologue/narrator which this show thankfully does not use. Another is a diary. Another is a conversation with a third party, which this show does use. And another way is messaging apps/social media. Having a character look through their phone at someone’s social media, messager, web browser, or camera roll helps us understand what that person is feeling and thinking. I think it’s brilliant. And it’s directly from the web comic, another visual medium.
They message on Instagram as first the company gave approval for this I am sure, but also it helps just in case any phone numbers are shown on screen, which can make problems with fans ringing them. This happened with other TV shows.
You think you wanted to cry this episode wait until you watch the rest. This season i think rounded out what the first season was and made the show even better.

Hi, amazing channel! A slight side track but still in the realm; could you consider creating a tribute to the late and amazing Kevin Conroy? He passed away last year, and was the sole reason I got into acting. On MsMojo there was a video about the best voice acting in animate d movies and I think he should've been included for his role in Batman the Mask of Phantasm (the scene at the cementary). I have a VA background and there are some preconceived notions that it's not as demanding as regular acting; but the vocal training itself and perfecting the craft may take more time than any acting school. l feel like he's very underrated as Batman (ditto Mark Hamill as Joker) and even non existent in the conversation. PS. You almost saw me as Leon in those new Resident Evil games :)
