I have Aries 12th from karakamsa and only ketu Aspects the sign. I love Hanuman chalisa n it's the only mantra I can listen to for 47 minutes other ones I get bored.

Can rahu be atmakaraka?
As per the ancient Hindu astrology, shadow planet cannot be atmakaraka. Could you please explain this, if you get time. Thank you
This tradition uses two systems of atmakaraka per what is taught in BPHS. Using this scheme you will find it working quite well in natives with a Rahu atmakaraka. I am little bit confused as some great astrologers like K N Rao doesn't take nodes as atmakaraka or chara karakas but at the same time great astrologers like Pt Sanjay Rath take them and person like me with little knowledge gets confused 😂
Maybe it has to do something with the different types of astrology they use (like Parashari and Jemini). I am not sure, just guessing 😁

Indeed, welcome to the world of astrology. The differences do not come in the type of astrology they practice, but in how they interpret or approach the classics. For example, KN Rao does not take the arudha exception - which is clearly stated in both Jaimini and Parashara, and bases a lot of his approach on his own personal research. However, if you study Sanjay's work they take this arudha exception, and add in details from a long and studied tradition around these topics. Sanjay's tradition also does not distinguish between " Jaimini" and " Parashara" astrology, since you will find the same methods being used in both sources, though people claim Jaimini material was placed into Parashara without any conclusive proof this actually happened. Other astrologers will have their own approach, so it will depends on your own journey and what sources you take as well as your own personal experience in looking at charts.
