@@adventurefreaksss Id like to know if its possible to live in Italy with less than 31500 yearly income especially with this person spending so LITTLE on rent and all else, including a car . Where would the balance be spent?

@@doreekaplan2589 If you do not meet the income requirement than your only option is tourist visa which allows you to stay 90 days.

300 euro/month is a THIRD the cost of groceries here in California.

Grazie Monica! This is exactly my plan! I should have my dual citizenship in roughly two years and then I'm going house hunting in Abruzzo!

Is very hard to have citizenship in Italy, I know Americans who bought houses and they must leave after 3 months only EU can live there.

Maybe you should make people aware that, no matter how cheap property and food is, when it comes to gas & electricity, costs are astronomical. And you can take that as fact, as not only do i have a brother & sister living there, but also countless friends. I am also paying the gas & electric standing charges on my parents house, and i can assure you, it's not cheap. Furthermore, the area from Silvi all the way down to Pescara is considered rather "dodgy" by most locals, with many illegal people just wandering the streets and beaches.

@@purpletoo12 Depends on the locality. Over the past few years there's been lots on the news about people returning to their homes only to discover changed locks and squatters, very hard to evict. Also, even in small towns/villages, you need to be careful of burglaries/break-ins. The days of leaving door open or key in the door are long gone. Also, a lot of local police stations closed, so you have to call the nearest larger town, if they can be bothered to send someone!

@@vincenzocherubini2424 Wow...thanks again. Heading to the area in August to scout and get a feel of where we want to live.

Wow that was impressive. Monica covered it all. She is very good in communicating clearly and to the point. Btw private insurance is almost same in cost. Maybe 10-20% difference and in the end you will go to the same hospital and doctor. Not really worth it.

My sports car in Italy is 1/2 the price with much shorter distances than here in San Diego California with our gas being $5/ gallon and distances nowhere near as far.

Compared to Manhattan, where I am now, I could easily do €600/mo! 🤣 Though I'm much more interested in buying a little place outright. I'm already looking at all kinds of property videos from Abruzzo to Puglia, regions where I'm particularly interested in. Hope to do a scouting trip and meet expats as soon as next summer, 2025. Thank you for your videos and for Monica!🙂
