not compared to many medical procedures in America (even with Health insurance coverage). I was paying $750 a month for health insurance (only for myself, no family) when I was in between jobs. Even with PPO Health Insurance with a major Health Insurance Provider I often have to pay a lot of money out of pocket, high deductible. In some cases it is better to travel to get medical/dental treatments. I think more people from the United States will do this as health costs continue to sky rocket and medical standards/technology/training improve in countries outside the US.

Question? I was suppose to get stem cell treatment last March.....I was first told that the stem cells were that of a pig intestine to be injected into my hip (no cartilage on my right side). I week before the stem cell treatment I was then told the stem cells were that of a placenta from a "donating" mother?! This was at Hinsdale Ortho BTW, an upper class west suburb of Chicago.
Upon hearing that I declined. Can anyone tell me what and where these stem cells come from? Seems to me like some odd elite circle of society nonsense. I'm not saying that the treatment won't work, but I find it odd......whether it is Peter Thiel speaking of blood transfusions from children or someone telling me they are injecting me with something other than what was initially discussed.......Well I have some doubts and questions. Who can you trust in the medical community anymore considering western medicines M.O is profit over people?
