Those were all his finest demons, but Henchman was the only one smart enough to take cover when his boss was showing signs of losing his temper. Even King Dice didn't realize the danger, he was pulled back by henchman.
I think it comes down to the fact that Henchman is almost always near the Devil so he's had plenty of time to get used to the signs of a blowup
That’s why Henchman is still alive.
Yeah, for as slow as Henchman sounds and comes off as, he all around seems pretty damn good at his job and the Devil's attendant for a reason. All that, along surprisingly avoiding annoying the Devil most of the time barring some minor exceptions, definitely seems to play into the Devil treating him best out of all his underlings.
Henchman is the smartest and strongest demon if you think about it

I love how he was able to kill his own top tier minions out of rage.
As goofy as he might act and look sometimes he's still a extremely powerful entity of unrivaled magnitude.

Seriously the Devil is by far the best written character on the show, don't get me wrong almost all of Cuphead's characters are amazing on the show but watching the Devil go either insanely mad from all the imbeciles that surrounds him daily or his fight against the Cuphead brothers it is just golden comedy.
To be fair, most of the Devil's defeats have been his own fault, not because his minions.

Can we just talk about his dynamic with Henchman? Henchman has the biggest patience for this man's rage and the Devil controls his rage enough to not hurt Henchman. I also love everytime he says "Thank you, Henchman" in the same tone
Genuinely obsessed with how these writers have made such an outrageously goofy yet terrifying villain, I seriously want to know more about his backstory. I also love that he embodies “my own worst enemy” and it doesn’t feel forced or coincidental

I paused at 0:14 and read the text in the book and it's hilarious. Even though it's only on screen for 2 seconds at most, it's impressive that the animators took the time to include small details like this in the show.

Henchman has to be one of my favorite characters in this show. I mean, if he didn't have horns, wings, and a demon tail, you would just think he's a purple blob. He doesn't even act like a demon, he's just pure and nice! Not even the devil has the "heart" to hurt him.

He doesn't need his finest demons; the Devil himself already makes the cut... all he lacks is patience. From this scene alone, you could easily witness the grand scope of his powers, which could be utilized more effectively if he were to wait until the cup brothers become "too comfortable".

I dont know much about cuphead, but the devil is a gem
Because he is by far the strongest in universe character, the show is always giving excuses for him not just to kill Cuphead on the spot.
I love how in the beginning, the piano sounds is playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and Squidward I mean the Devil gets furious about Cuphead getting the wrong answer on Roll the Dice by saying, "Sprinkle Sprinkle Mr. Car" instead of the already mentioned song.
