Its good to see people turn their lives around and become useful to the world. Ricky, you are a legend. Thank you for the memories.
What an Awesome person 😮😮😮
Look at this man now, absolutely beautiful role model he is changing hearts and minds.
What an intelligent and well moraled person, truly honoured that he represented our club can also see how much he loves blues, what a legend
What a lovely person he turned out to be . I remember him playing for Birmingham and scoring those special goals and I was at Wembley when we won
Fantastic man, great customer. Hope we can serve you again in the future.🎉 looking forward to seeing you again on your next service!😊
Fantastic interview. I was fortunate enough to be at Anfield all those years ago and what a memory. Ricky is a lovely bloke ! KRO
Was there too, what a goal that was, also went to the final at Wembley and his cross for Tates header. KRO
He done well to turn his life around, they were great times back then with Barry fry.
Best times as a Blues fan in my life.
Any player that was part of the MR Barry Fry era is ok by me the craziest maddest but by far the best time for me following blues KRO Ricky son
Refreshingly honest. Bags of unrealised potential.
I will never forget that own goal, what an absolute banger.
lol, he scored at both ends that game.
Top man. Stay blessed
Top man, I was at Anfield for the game sitting on the front row of the Upper Tier of the Centenary Stand enjoying Liverpool hospitality when Ricky scored. Needless to say ,our celebrations were somewhat muted! What a fine example to the rest of us!
One of my favourite ever Southend players.
Amazing man well done Ricky ❤
What a great bloke
what a great interview 👏🏻
I was in the away end at anfield I think we took 8000 .. also remember we missed all 5 pens 😂😂
I saw all those goals( and the own goal!) Great interview. KRO
Man like Ricky
I remember he's first game scored a lovely own goal all the best Ricky
WHEN TAIT SCORED THAT GOAL I WAS BEHIND THE GOAL.......BEST DAY EVER
remember his Blue BMW Cab with the )0TT0 Reg
M30TTO ? It was on a convertible 3 series BMW when I saw it (was 30 years ago, so details might be slightly incorrect!)
Karen Brady and David Sullivan said Barry Fry went to them and said - we are desperate for a striker. He went out and bought Ricky for 800 grand. A few weeks later he went back to KB and DS and said i still need a striker and they said you just bought Ricky. Fry said yeah but he's a left winger and then they had to give him another 800 grand for Kevin Francis. 🤣 Legend
Great days! 😂
The best days. Some great footballers in those clips. We were spoilt back then even though we were in the Lower league. Those games against Liverpool too,12000 bluenoses away at anfield screaming alright alright calm down! Wonderful memories.
My 1st ever Blues game was home to Stockport County ... 1-0 Kevin Francis scored the winner on his debut having just signed from Stockport ! Awesome memories of when I became a true blue in 94/95 ... and that terrible Triton Showrs shirt that they still sell at the clubshop to this day 😂
@@birminghamskies everyone loves that top now! Crazy
Legendary top that 😂😂
Own goal
Brilliant man
💙
hard times
I WATCHED YOU FOR SOUTHEND WHEN YOU PLAYED AT ST ANDREWS.....BEFORE WE BOUGHT YOU AND THEN I MET YOU AT THE TRAINING GROUNG IN YOUR GREEN BMW LOL....OTTO ON THE REG BRUV..KRO
Where's the location?
He was a top player at Orient and Southend, and I remember seeing him scoring goals for fun back in the early 90s.
I just don't think Blues was a good fit for him, and because of that, we didn't see the very best of him.
He was a London boy, and admitted many times that he was homesick when he was with us.
In saying that; he had some great moments too.
1. THAT equaliser vs Liverpool (I watched the full highlights the other day, and I'd forgotten that minutes after he'd scored, he had a great chance to make it 2-1.
2. That opening day second goal vs Ipswich in 1995 that put us 2-1 up on our way to a great victory.
3. The perfect cross for Taity to win the AWS.
Some fans never forgave him for the Cambridge game; but overall he did well for us, but as I said above, I don't think we ever saw the Otto we saw earlier in his career.
CHELMSFORD PRISON 1987
He seemed to be very skilful, but gave the impression that he was a bit lazy. Had the potential to be an extremely good player but wasted his talent.
He was an ok player, nowhere near good/ great but given the chance by Barry Fry. He missed more chances than scored but he had a chance. We all need those.
