I dont see the difference with Harumi. Can anyone offer any insight? "Pushed in ribcage" is not really helping tbh.

I don't get it...Harumi's 1st dance (non-Alexander technique) has music in a minor key. Harumi's 2nd go-round (w/ Alexander technique) has music in a major key. This smacks of a subtle (or not-so-subtle, if you're a musician) attempt at manipulating the viewer into thinking "Oh yeah! Harumi is so "up"!!! So much energy!" I personally feel the Alexander technique has very much to offer but I am really stunned at the seemingly disingenuous musical manipulation that the producer(s) of the dvd.

Funny moment: at 3:47, when the instructor asks who wants to 'be the bar', the lady in the dark cyan top goes from Smiley Face to "Oh God Please Don't Let Me Have To Do It". :)

I don't think this technique is about alignment but satisfactory use of the human mechanism.. dancing is just a part of it. I would recommend read the evolution of tech. By alexander in The use of self book....Very rich source
