- Plant growth in the tiniest planted tank! Just a quick update on the tiny desk aquarium I set up a few months ago.

Hiya Jake - of course I am NOT surprised because you are a pro at this stuff! Seriously :) There was not a single doubt that you would get growth out of this great little gem. The reality check is when you put the pen beside it....it is a tiny little masterpiece! I have gotten a great deal of gratification out of being able to start a whole new tank by using leftover things from previous tanks. Of course, that probably just means that I am a hoarder lol! So, do you use a teaspoon for water changes? :) Great video!

That's coming along really nicely, Jake! I like your selection of plants... they seem to be responding really well to the lighting. Do you add fertilizers or is the ADA substrate and lighting enough to keep your plants going? When you put the tank next to the pen, you really get a true sens of how small the tank is. Any suggestions on.super easy beginner safe aquatic plants? I'm in Australia so some may be different. But any advice wold be greatly appreciated.
Java Fern looks good, grows quickly, is resistant to algae, is very cheap and can grow under pretty much any light. Doesn't need fertilisers or co2. Widely available here in Australia.

In my country (indonesia) we have aquatic plant, people named it "waterdog".
I tried hard to find the real name of it, but never found.
Can you please help to identify.
If you google please type "tanaman waterdog", you will find the picture of the plant.
Can you please identify what is the real name in your country.
