Amanda, Please open a Etsy shop.I love your stuff, and I want to buy some things and I bet there are other people that would like to buy your stuff You are one of my favorite . It sounds like you have a great plan for 2024 so I will be praying for you.
thank you for this and all videos. I really enjoy it. You are so sweet. I am scared to even know what I spent. I did get better last 6 months. I am trying NOT to buy yarn, unless I really have to because of the order. I need to use what I have which is Mini Michaels LOL.
I agree that you might want to consider how much of last year’s inventory is going into what you are currently making so that you have a better understanding of cost and profit first this year. It’s why stores do inventory in Jan so they can see what from the inventory (savings) was spent and deduct it from the previous year’s sales (income). I don’t think you actually spent much for a first business year, but yes, the goal should be to be more profitable this year. Good luck!!!
I've already paid for three spring shows, bought safety eyes, rented a P.O. box, and picked up four new pattern books... So I'm in the red. A little over 9 weeks to my first show, but I'm getting some Etsy sales and pattern sales to lessen the deficit.
Questions Why aren't you tracking mileage and gas? Food and beverages? Just curious because these are items I will be tracking this year as well as supplies and booth fees, etc.
Girl you rock it!!! I just did my expenses and it really is a shocker. My idea mind set is to get the bulk or my supplies ordered in January and again mid year yes the number looks scary but it's easier to handle and less admin work for the admin....oh wait, that's me! See, looking out for my coworkers.....myself 🤣
I know you have your own method of how you measure your business, but i suggest you take in consideration that you have also inventory, so you now have the display items, and I imagine you have lots of yarn.
all those expenses actually had me stresssingggg omg!!! michaels really does get people good with them rewards lmao i have the same problem !! my new years goal is to also cut back spending
Holy Smokes, this was eye opening!!! I feel like my spreadsheet would mimic yours if I sat down and got serious about doing a market. Except my downfall is pattern shopping on Etsy...I might not want to disclose that😂 But you are so right about the Michael's rewards...those are the best ever! Yarn shopping is addictive, I am not going to lie. Thank you for your honesty in sharing this!
Curious how you are gonna build up a $50,000 a year income? I’d love to do that but it seems very hard to teach. Typically, you make double that I’m inventory to project your profits. $100,000 of product?!
Vielen Dank für Dein Video. Sehr interessant. Schaue immer deine Videos.
Very practical! THANKYOU!
Thanks for being real about your business and costs. I started in June and ended the year a little behind. Lots of upfront expenses.
One thing you missed was your inventory carry forward😂. It’s an asset. Now bottom line doesn’t sound so bad.
