Jesse,did you fry the peanut and anchovies? it will give better flavour of them and actually you can stir fry that sambal tumis for a while to wake up the sambal's flavour. And it will taste better if you put anchovies/fried anchovies into it👍

You can cook sambal nasi lemak using sambal tumis maggi, you will taste the original flavour of sambal nasi lemak. Blend together shallot, garlic and ginger, then stir fry with sambal tumis maggi. Maybe you can try later.

Good try jesse 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻,, but nasi lemak should have coconut milk then we will call it nasi lemak and the sambal tumis maggi actually you need to cook first not to be eat directly, it can but you will taste a bit raw or like half cook chili paste.
Suggest you to watch ichang channel japan youtuber that always try to cook malaysia food (hv nasi lemak ep ) and blimey korean youtuber who always love malaysia they also had their own nasi lemak making ep.

hi jesse , if you cant find santan you can use the coconut then blend it with water, then filter it ,just take the water , cook the sambal until the oil brooke, i dont know if u understand it , i use to sell nasi lemak ,so i know how to cook it ,hihihihi , fry the anchoive n the peanut until they golden crispy , an the peanut brown , dont fry both together ,fry differently ...... sorry for my bad english hope u can use this tips to cook nasi lemak again next time

if you dont have santan@coconut milk you can use evaporated milk@liquid milk also can bro..because nasi lemak means fatty rice..which is the rice should be have some milky or fatty taste in it..you can try it next time

The Sambal Tumis Maggi, you need to reheat it before you eat. Besides that, you may add some onions to it. Just follow your appetite 👍 Then, you need to fry the ground nuts so they will be more crunchy. However, it is a nice try to cook Nasi Lemak while you were in South Korea Jesse ssi 🤗

Bro u forget one main ingredient for the rice, the halba campur/mix halba/mixture of spice
Halba campur mix
1. Halba
2. Halba putih
3. Fennel seeds
4. Cumin seeds
U need to sate the halba campur together with ginger, garlic etc before putting the rice in.
