Candy safety and education should be a priority for everyone.
I had no idea there was a secret candy cabinet in that beautiful cabinet. I love cabinets and candy.
Funny how those candy guns changed. Great video.
Amazing Craftsmanship!
I love the design and build of this project.
Well done!
Thanks for this video, Jason. Properly hiding candy is most certainly important!
Nice project, I would however make the front slide out like a drawer, that way the bottom shelf can be used like normal.
A tug on the face would reveal the hidden drawer.
Drawers are less secret because the whole front would pull forward. So there would be a tiny gap when closed instead of a truly glued front piece.
Less secret. Easier to access. Tradeoffs
It would also be harder to use the magnetic trick to hold your candy
@@ecospider5 You could use the same magnets on the back of the drawer face to hold it in and hide the gaps. Also with the slides hidden, you could do identical bits on the top ones as well, and you could have no hinges or holes showing. Since the drawer is pretty thin, you could just grab the whole face to pull it open.
@@SeanBlader I don't think ecospider5 was talking about the little rare earth magnets that keep the door shut. Rather, the "candy magnet" that allows the candy to be stuck up under the top, so that if someone opens the secret compartment, they don't see the "candy". Look at the center section at 23:38
The "candy" euphemism is funny
I really love the secret compartments. My only thought is, if you’re using the shelving for any kind of storage, it might be difficult to pull them down. I’d love to see your take on concealed drawers, that way you don’t have to move storage out if the way for the compartments to open.

I hope I get some more magnetic candy for Christmas.
it'd take the Mrs. approximately 7.5 minutes to stuff the bottom shelves with books, clothes, decorative pinecones, a hydraulic press, 3 orphan raccoons and a Boeing 747's landing gear (from under it's left wing) making absolutely sure no uninvited cereal killers would get the well deserved high blood sugar dose on time XD
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
How would she know they're there if they're secret shelves?
lol probably
@@JamesWelbesSenph42 means that the space *under* the secret door would be filled up. So when you go to access the secret stash, you'd have to get all the crap off the shelf below. If it's a bunch of folded shirts, you scoop them off onto the floor and open the secret door. But if it's a decorative item, you don't want to risk it crashing on the floor and making noise or breaking (glass shards everywhere) or landing on your foot. Basically, the lowest "shelf cavity" (that is the one under the shelf with the secret storage) is effectively unusable. Or at least, needs to be minimally used.
Nice candy cabinets.
If the Forman has CZcams and is a fan of his employee, then he already knows where the hidden candy is. Or, if his friends watch, they may tell him.
I hope the candy is Pez. I just love Pez. Those cartoon head dispensers are fun.
REMASTERED INTROOOOOOO, finally, leeetsssssssssss goooooooooo
The candy man can cause he mixes it with love and makes world taste goooooood. 🤣👌
Very tactfully explained. Great job!
Thanks for the build and the candy security. Ho Ho Ho…😅
Thanks!
When in public, I keep my candy in a licorice holster 😊
Woodworker and hidden candy maker. Ingenuity
Pretty excellent. Glad you're as concerned about keeping your candy safe as I am. It's mine.
Candy magnets. Genius. Also keeps some of the weight off the the trap door magnets.
As a diabetic I appreciate your concealing your candy from others.
My parents had the very same Christmas album!
Who knew Chocolate is magnetic?!
Must be old man chocolate with added Iron ;)
Love this idea. Especially the candy magnet. Sometimes you need candy in a hurry. Guessing you could also install a biometric lock so you don’t have to fumble with a key in the middle of the night to get your midnight snack.
I don't have much of a sweet tooth but I still love how creative this project is.
I can use secret storage over the top of the cabinets, as well as the ones that go underneath the bottom cabinets replacing the dead space behind the toe kick.
Ooh! I love candy, especially the kind you hide in secret compartments! Yummy!! 😂
Very Cool!
Ingenious. Add some more lights to the upper shelves as 'justification' for them being so thick.
I have often thought that the kick-space would have some potential for unexpected storage too.
I love trick drawers and secret compartments.
At 25:15, I like how that candy 1911 became a real Glock pretty fast 🤣🤣
just what i needed
Now you need one for full sized fishing rods, say in the kitchen counter and bed rail
I love the way you got the "candy" to stick to the upper magnets.
I saw that Glock. You thought no one would notice the switcheroo 😂
that was so cool
Cool system dude
Great project! Those lights are a nice addition. I have the larger ones underneath my kitchen cabinets.
I built a little back trunk shelf thing for my camping/road trips in my Prius. There was a hidden compartment that you could only see if you put the back seat down. I did this to hide my laptop and more expensive electronics in. I figured that someone might try and break into my car at some point and most camping gear i could replace. But laptops and other devices I didnt want swiped. Its a handy thing to have on weekend trips.
This is great. So clean!
This guy likes woodworking, boats, whisky, and ...candy. Ill tell you what, i may have a crush.
Very nice build. The only problem I see is bottom shelf needs to be pretty much empty in order to open the hidden candy storage.
You can’t put anything on the bottom shelves because the secret shelves will hit but the idea is cool. Good job.
If you have a pile of hoodies on the shelf, you could open the compartment... or knock the hoodies on the floor if you were in a hurry.
Awesome video!!!! Proper candy storage is very important and your idea is perfect!!! Love your content! You educate and inspire me all the time.
I've used those exact lights underneath a set of cabinets to illuminate the counter, and I love them.
one of the best ideas ive seen for how this world is getting and our needs this is great
Very nice, will be incorporated into my design
Very cool. I want to do re-do our closet one day. Maybe this will work for me.
Very Cool!!! The lights are a nice touch..
Enjoy your Holiday Season….🎄🍻
Awesome! Thanks for sharing! Merry Christmas!
Very Cool 😎
They turned out really great.
Clever❤ very well thought out!!! Doingbthe same with my kitchen upper cabinets and my firepla mantle
Its amazing how that milk chocolate magnetic candy turned into dark chocolate after you removed it from the magnet!
Love your craft and humour. Learning should always be fun. 😁
Fantastic for storing semi automatic candy.
Candy gets serious @"Certain times" but is always...sweet! Very nice work Jason.
Love it!
Nice work! Very cool candy storage!
cool, nice work
A clever idea well executed and presented. All the best to you and yours during the holiday season and here’s hoping 2024 will be healthy and prosperous 🌞
As a fellow candy enthusiast, I find this perked very interesting!
I love the idea for valuables that ppl out side the house won't know about but as for lil man and his friends they'll just watch this video and go kool. As for as entertaining as your videos are I have no worries that you teach them safety in all things. And I'm sure lil man has learned respect for humanity with the way I see you help others. Great project.
Very cool project, thank you for sharing this sir.
WOW, pretty sweet harbor freight table saw😅
I always love how your projects turn out. I can only hope to achieve half of your talent before I die. Please keep up the good work, you're an inspiration to so many of us...
Outstanding!!

Lol love the spooky music at the beginning in the background.
Suspenseful.
Merry Christmas 🎊🎄🎁
Best opening ever!
Very cool. I have those lights along the baseboard in my hallway and stairs, so people and dogs can get down the hall and downstairs at night. No need to turn on the lights that will wake me.
Hi 👋 great job 👏, well done, 👍 . Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Phil from the moulin,
Love this build idea
I know you said it was going to be a while. But honestly I need the airstream back in my life. 😂
Safety first, lol I see you're using the table saw with the saw wearing the safety glasses, on top of the fence...too funny.
Love your videos and you're a wealth of information. You're so talented and explain things clearly and precisely. That helps so much for us dummies out here. Thanks for all you do, you're one of my favorites.
Absolutely amazing. So very clever job well done!! Thanks for the video.

I like your brand of “Candy”. Great choice.
Well done!
Don't forget to oil/condition that vegtan leather so it doesn't crack later.
Veeeeeeeery smart Jason. Now you are my favorite woodworker. Congratulations
I need to protect my candy to. Hope you had a terrific Christmas 😊 . Not many jokes, my wife enjoys them too 😊
