      I'd say some of the earlier bands like Budgie started it all. Some of the Budgie guitar riffs appear in many later bands songs.

      That is correct they were rehearsing in the studio before they called their band Black Sabbath saw a Billboard for a movie called Black Sabbath and thought that sounds scary and would scare people Plus it's a cool title for a song so they did both made a song and called the band Black Sabbath.

    I'm 66 years old and I was around 15 when I first heard him and fell in love with Black Sabbath,been listening to him to this day.Sabbath ,eagles and pink Floyd was my favorite !! Can you believe they have been around this long!!! Go Ozzie!! I love it when young people listen to these great bands!!!

    Tony Iommi, the guitarist lost his fingers in a machine accident. Had to re learn the guitar. Pretty inspirational guy.

      He was in Black Sabbath until he was told his drug problem was too out of control in comparison to his band mates and they kicked him out and took on Ronnie James Dio instead. He ended up doing mostly solo music after that but reuniting with Black Sabbath periodically. Ozzy is great! Anything by him or including him is completely worth taking a listen to!

    I LOVE seeing peoples reactions to Black Sabbath for the first time!!!!!!!! They have been my favourite band my entire life pretty much, and I literally travelled all over to see them, including going to Japan a few years back JUST to see them. Great reaction, and I hope to see more from them.

    Original members of Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne was the original front man of Sabbath but his drinking and partying caused the other members to drop him. Ozzy then re-started his career as a solo artist with his own band. Black Sabbath is my absolute favorite band (original members ), Paranoid my favorite song, Ozzy my favorite front man.     To me, Black Sabbath was about taking Gothic stylings of classical music, mixing it with blues rock, and setting it to electric guitar, bass, and drums. There was a medieval influence to rock that's maybe overlooked. 🎸🔥👍
    The sabbath is the holy day of rest.

    Went to concert with multiple group called Ozzfest in Pitts PA. So Ozzy would talk before his songs and you couldn't even understand a word he said. Then when he got to the songs every single word was clear Amazing.

    Notice ring finger of guitarist (Tony Iommi) is an artificial extension he made himself, he cut the end of his finger off working in a factory & still went on to be the master of heavy riffs! Sabbath are the godfathers!

    Black Sabbath, the inventors of metal.🤘🏻 It's just unbelievable, if you think about it.😄 Tony Iommi, the guitarist and riffgod, wrote the song "Paranoid" in about 20 minutes.👌🏻 The first six albums are their best but the three albums with Ronnie James Dio are also perfect and I also love the newest and last album "13".😁 Try out "Iron Man", "War Pigs", "Symptom Of The Universe" just to name a few.😋

    In Christianity the Sabbath is Sunday with the exception of 7th Day Adventists where it is Saturday. Also Saturday in Judaism.
