This turned out great! I love what you can do with such a short amount of time. I'd like to imagine you would save more time scanning a cork with something like polycam, but your results are great so you can't knock it!
I did think about polycam but am not familiar enough with it yet to work with the textures. Wasn't confident I'd be able to quickly clear out the old text and add in my own. Need to practice more!
BTW: Align images is like panorama stuff without the blending. If you roughly align the images and then run it it can yield nice results. Handy for face replacements too.
Your videos are great for both knowledge and inspiration, thanks! Personal request for you to implement somehow if it ever fits a project: Animated chains with collision. Been trying to make a smooth disc golf animation for years but the chain animation always fail for me in blender :)
hmmm good challenge! For super realistic you could use rigid bodies but I bet if you're viewing it from a distance maybe a cloth sim with strips that have a chain texture.
under quick actions to the right above the layers panel is the remove background button or self subject which is quicker than going through the menu. hope that helps next time.
Amazing content as always! Sometimes I wonder...You and @smeaf are made of the same material. Yous guys match in a lot of things such as Blender and CGI knowledge, clear teaching and communication skills....even the slow/calm voice are similar. I might be delusional...or not...ahaha. Anyways thank you and God bless!
I really enjoyed this tutorial, especially the linked objects with offset animations, however when i tried to replicate it, when i change the animation of one of the objects, they all get affected, although i am only selecting that single object, any idea how to unlink the animation while retaining linked objects?
Okay i guess i found the solution, after duplicating all the objects you can select them and go to Object -> Relations -> make single user -> object animation, i wanted to delete my original comment but said maybe it will be useful to someone to find out how to do it :D
it lacks just a LIL bit shake when it drops there, like theres no friction, no bouncing, no adjusting to the place, just perfect drop which looks artificial cuz whats perfect inrl, nothing. but thats just my liltle suggestion ofc
Switch to an older version of blender, I'm still using 3.1 because I'm too lazy to re-set the interface and addons. When I had my older laptop I remember that it crashed multiple times under heavy tasks. If possible try to buy some ram, have fun!
Loved it!!!! Man what a fun project, inspiring to see how fast you turned this around!!
Asbjørn!
This looks so nice!
That emissive ground plane is such a cool touch.
LOVE THIS TYPE OF VIDEO! So real!
you always make me feel like I can do anything I want inside Blender. So inspiring. thank you

did you make anything usable with polycam?
@@MelbourneArchviz I have only barely tried it but haven't actually imported anything in to blender yet
Enjoy to see what a master's problem solving process! great video Derek!
SMASHED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of my favorite videos from you, the time crunch and
actually seeing how the project was used made it so much fun to watch!
I really loved the fact that this video had a story behind it 😁. It felt like a vlog but wit helpful blender information.
really inspiring to see your workflow! 😊
more vids like this. great job!
Amazing concept, it just kept getting better and better with every idea you came up with.

Interesting idea. For simple and quick visual purposes assuming that it is viewed from a distance that might actually work. Thanks!@@DerekElliott
Nice work!
the best !

What a cool project! Can you do a full course on uv editing and graph editor
Loved this format 👏
We need more of this!
Love this, it came out so good
Really cool project!
If nothing else this reminded me that you can have multiple UV maps, I keep forgetting that for some reason..
This was really cool! Thank you for sharing
So simple and elegant, I love it
your very cool man!
You won a sub
Great great content, more of this. Shows how spontaneous blender can allow you to be
simple yet very effective
Awesome in its simplicity!

great!
Love it MORE PLEASE 🙏🏾🤓
Please make more :)
really talented!
You're a f*cking GOD
Nicely done....seems very intimidating for a beginner in Blender. Whats your computer setup as far as your CPU, GPU etc? ... Thx in adv.

Yes this is a problem I used to run into. There are several different relations the objects can have and they don't have to have all at once.
❤

Agreed!
make product visualization animation tutorials please
What you got in mind
Mr D great content. My pc is 8ram, 3060 etc with i7 24 cores yet it crashes when I render. Any advice. 3 years viewing your work

Get more RAM, At least 16 GB.
what GPU do you have ? ^^
4090
Man you SOUND drunk or on your WAY
Naaaa
You're too fast man! If it was me I would spent the 75% of my time rotate viewing the cube for no reason
Best part
amazing
