Very good video. I may buy this radio. I am a radio listener. I use PHILIPS radio with bluelight.
SW works best with internal battery because AC supply adds static. However SW is more of an enthusiast hobby now because most old SW stations have shut down and stuff like DW and BBC are available online for free.
Still you'll be surprised at the same time at how far flung stations it may catch.

Why not demonstrate the audio quality or station capturing? Also what are the battery spec for external battery compartment? How is the reception? Review should have covered all these.

BBC WORLD SERVICE is at SW 25m, 49m, 49m. From 3:30 Am to 7:30Am & 3:30PM to 7:30 PM.
China Radio Internation english presentation: Beijing Hour is at 25m from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM. Selfie at around 41m band from 5:30Am to 6:00 Am. Studio+ is at 31m from 7:30AM to 8:30AM and 4:30PM to 5:30PM.
In calcutta, AIR is around 700Khz MW and AIR is around 600Khz MW.

When I charge internal battery I switch to external mode, but the red light does not goes off, even if I charge for 20 hours. I have a doubt, that will I have to insert rechargeable cells in the cells compartment? Earlier I was inserting normal cell, Please reply. Thanks.

@@ideasathome I also had this radio and its SW reception is good without antenna but I had to sell it after 10 months as my mother broke it for that reason I had to sell it and I miss this radio very much
@@ideasathome SW reception is not bad, but requires more volume, due to 3 volt input. The best thing about this radio is that it doesn't make electric sound in AM, and has loud and clear sound just like DL 167.

There are mixed reviews.. onix has some features that philips dont have like bluetooth, usb etc.. but this philips radio you can charge and use daily.. fm is clear.. mw depends on location.. sw not clear.. bit more reliable.. try to check in some shop if available.. final choice is yours
@@ideasathome In quality of reception both Bahadur and Trishul are same. Very good reception in all three bands except that sound is low in SW. But this Trishul set is rechargable. It saves your expenditure on batteries. Both sets can be run with an adapter, but in that case it will cause electric sound. But the price difference between the two sets is same as running the Bahadur set on two full sized batteries changing every four months for 5 years approx.
