In Germany, Doctors have a very high position in society.
I think that is an international views of society.
you will be surprised that not every country respects its doctors @@div9601
Dear Vishakha,
there are no postgraduate courses for Medicine in Germany because Medicine is not split into bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Medical students in Germany have to complete a six-year programme which concludes with the State Examination (Staatsexamen). There are no courses offered in English, so you will need very good German skills to complete the programme and pass the examinations. Courses on Medicine you can find in our database: www.study-in.de/en/plan-your-studies/find-programme-and-university/?a=result&q=Medicine°ree=5&courselanguage=&studylocation=&locations=&admissionsemester=&sort=name&page=1

Are there any medicine programs in English at German universities? I am from England and I would love to study medicine in Germany but I am not near fluent - I always try to improve my German but by the time I'll be applying I'll only have an A-level (B1 level) in German which I don't think is enough. :( I would still love to apply though, if possible!

Hi,
There are no master’s degree programmes in mediecine in Germany because medicine is not split into bachelor’s and master’s degrees. I have studied six years of medicine in Egypt. I can also speak fluently German (B2/C1). I have right now my one-year internship and I want to take it in Germany. If this didn't work, I would love to have my residency in Germany. How can I do both of them, if possible?
Khaled Elmasry
Dear Khaled,
Medical internships in Germany are organized by the IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students Assocation). Please turn to your local IFMSA office: www.ifmsa.org/
The Accommodation Finder (www.study-in.de/en/plan-your-stay/accommodation/dormitoryfinder/) on our website is a helpful tool for obtaining information about various student residences in your university town. Our website offers information on finding accommodation as well: www.study-in.de/en/plan-your-stay/accommodation/finding-accommodation_26611.php.

Do they take public insurance?? Please help! I have lung cancer. I'm a German citizen, but I don't know. I've tried speaking with them but got nowhere. I really need to know if they take public insurance.
Hi Anna,
we are really sorry to hear that 😢 However, we are unable to provide you with details about your health insurance. We highly recommend that you contact your health insurance provider, the doctor who treats you and also the hospital for more guidance.
We really hope that you will soon be able to receive the necessary answers and treatment!
Very best wishes,

Hey, I am looking for this question s answer. Did u find anything
Hi,
well it's difficult to estimate that - but whereas Engineering offers many English programmes medicine is one of the few subjects mostly tought in German.
If you search for further details have a look at our website study-in.de/en/study/degree-subjects/

If you wish to study in Charite, should I really speak well German? Thank you.
Hi Marc,
for most German degree programmes, knowledge of German (usually B2 level) is a prerequisite for admission. Please inform yourself at your future university whether you need a language certificate and if so, which one. Check the specific requirements on the website of the programmes you are interested in or get in touch with the International Office of the university. Find more information on our website: www.study-in-germany.de/german-skills.
In your case, you can get all information from the relevant International Office. Have a look here: www.charite.de/en/teaching_learning/service_advice/.

Is this university tution fee free? and can students belonging to countries other than EU member states get admission here?
plzz inform me.
+Ali Huzaifa
Hi Ali,
Each German university is responsible for determining its own admission policies. That’s why you should ask the International Office at the German university of your choice whether you fulfill all the requirements for admission and how much of your previous academic work will be recognised.
The DAAD admission database will tell you whether your university entrance qualification is recognised in Germanywww.daad.de/deutschland/nach-deutschland/voraussetzungen/en/6017-admission-requirements/

More women than men study medicine in germany. We have a ratio of 30% men to 70% women.
Also I heard several different things about the Charite. Too many students, very selfish and also the campus is shit as it is divided into 3 different parts which are about an hour apart each...
If you want to go into research you'd be better of going to Heidelberg.
