I actually built a air box to complement my early apr intake setup .. I used cardboard and covered it with metal roofing tape .. so far so good. Good Work Bruce 👏
Nice video, you should try heat proofing tape on the induction pipe to remove heat soak, my company and I have engineered an induction stainless steel pipe that creates a vortex of air and wrapped it with heat proofing tape, in tests with a standard or 25%+ bigger intercooler it creates around 30 to 40% faster and cooler air without using meth injection, this will soon be available for sale to the public as for now it is only available for racing. 😎👍

Awesomeness! Listen, I have a turbo wrap and purchased a custom exhaust manifold heat shield for my B7, minimal heat soak happening, and a conical shielded intake filter. Just saying, man it’s good all that heat is being dissipated with cool air coming in, as the vehicle is moving forward and the heat is being pushed rearward. Be blessed indeed!

I’m actually looking into intakes and do like this unique design where it sucks air from the bottom.
But for me I’m on k04 93oct on custom dyno tune, I’ve heard about CAI such as Injen, causing leaning out of the air fuel mixtures and needs a tune to suit.
But I’m trying to avoid a tune as I had it done just recently and would probably wait another year for another tune.

Hey bro, I have the 2015 Audi a6 Quattro premium plus and Injen is the only intake I can find that’s not open or short ram made for my car. My question is when you install that did you have to have it tuned to account for the extra air being taken in? Or can I just buy the injen intake and run it on my stock a6 with no issues ?

Hey Bruce! Update on my 2010 Audi a4 Quatrro. Got a free diagnostic from a local shop that services foreigns. They said both my pressure oil switches are causing the problem of the epc light and low oil pressure code ive been getting. Any thoughts on that? Going to do some research and see how difficult it would be to do it myself. parts are $60 but there labor would be $250 before taxes.
You can do it I changed both of mine , but it’s a tight spot, I can send you a diagram on instay, but if you can afford it price isn’t to bad

I went with an IE intake, the heat soak is incredible, even with an APR intercooler.
Sounds cool but lost performance, wishing I went with Injen.
