It’s not friendship though. Minny was still her employee. She was a nice and friendly boss. But they were paying her. That’s the part i never liked about this movie. MINNY was the one who saved herself by always being herself, when they met, she learned she could trust others and trust Celia and be ok on her own without the abusive husband.
The way she servers her, her plate. They don’t make her get her own food as a guest, and she plates with care each dish. I never noticed that little detail until now ❤
This is how the world should be, filled with human kindness. I can’t believe that there are people that want to take us back to these times. They have no idea. They have no idea.
I so wanted Celia to have a baby. In the book she goes to the doctor and they tell her she won’t be able to have kids. They never mention her adopting a baby or anything but hopefully that’s what happens, she’d make a wonderful mother. Minny ends up moving into their pool house with her kids, she’s pregnant with her 6th child when this all takes place. Because Minny moves into their pool house and makes good money, her kids can all go to school and go to college instead of working as soon as possible. Celia and Minny very much save each other, it’s a beautiful friendship
This part in the book was my absolute favourite. And when i watched it unfold in the movie, it just made it better. Love everything about this book ❤ first read it when i was 13 or so. The book's all frayed and yellowed, but i still read it to this day
I wish they had shown the part where they let Minnie and her kids live in the pool house so they could get away from Minnie's AH husband like they do in the book.
I like how she implied that her miscarriages were from stress, loneliness, and general anxiety. So once she became confident in cooking it gave her the confidence and the peace of mind for everything else.
Their relationship is the best thing in that film, all about respect and compassion, Minny showed Celia a kindness no-one else did in an intensely vulnerable time and then she wanted to repay that kindness
She left because she could finally afford to and finally felt she'd be ok. She didn't just realize what a piece of shit her husband was because of Celia's husband.
I love the reversal of every roll in that 🏠. It's a movie but so well thought out. To secure her job for life.. both welcomed her and acknowledged her impact on their relationship her giving Celia something to be proud of to make her feel like a wife and a good catch (she felt like she wasn't valuable) and Celia's husband pulling out her chair and being served by Celia at her own table with food that she taught her to make is mind blowing.
A rich older friend of mine from the south said that there are a lot of southern children that love their nannies more than they love their parents. But their outlooks change as adults, because they have to change it because of the times.
I remember crying when this happened. They gave her her dignity, strength and peace of mind. To be given that type of assurance back in those days would be called a muracle ❤💫
I think i bawled for five full minutes over this scene. I know i had to put the book down cause i couldnt see the pages thru the tears. Such kindness does exist; rare, but out there.
I loved how the husband is just as kind hearted as his wife, and the way he supported his wife, and the fact he pulled the chair out for minnie to sit at the table with them. Respect.
The way they both honored her as a guest in their house, even though she works there, shows how they see her as another human being. The husband giving her the option to work there as long as she wanted, them letting her sit at the family table, him pulling out the chair for her, the wife serving her?! All things a “maid” rarely, if ever, gets to experience! I have to rewatch this movie now

This is honestly my favorite plot of the film. Their friendship is so beautiful
What movie is it
@@Leongssoftdrin “The Help”
One of my favorite parts of the movie. Celia really appreciates and values Minny as a maid and most of all as her friend.
Miss Celia saw a man treat his wife the way she deserves to be treated and that's why she left. She knew she deserved better than some abusive bum.
Thank you!! I've never watched it I was like who's Leroy?! I have to watch this it looks so heartwarming from the shorts 😊
There is nothing like seeing someone happy from something you made...especially if it's the person who taught you how to make it! 💖
You are absolutely right ❤
Celia was so kind and beautiful. She is an inspiration. 💕💕💕💕. Both those women needed each other.....
Celia is the sweetest, she's not racist, she cares a lot, always bubbly and actually smart! Those mean girls are so jealous of her.
The way Celia hummed "Uh-uh" like Minny while preparing plate for her ❤
Their relationship was very special. They both needed each other.
This was so sweet and pure, specially at a time where people were hateful
SISTERS HELPING SISTERS🎉😊
Celia and her husband are truly what this world need… love and kindness ❤❤ and Mimi of course 😊😊😊😊
Minnie’s character in the book and in the movie both conveyed such a beautiful and strong woman
The “just the way you taught me” gets me every time
“That’s a Mile-High Meringue”
I could never figure out what she said there…until now lol
I have to rewatch this movie now
So simple to hear you heart, uses our brains and don't listen bad people, the world would be happy for everyone.
Ms Celia is a wonderful person! Loved how this couple embraced her beautiful soul as a person to become lifetime friends!!
I love how celia does the mm hm and the Uh uh just the same as Minnie did.
When a woman stands up for herself, her actions inspire those in her circle to take a stand as well.
A 10 second clip has me with tears rolling down my cheeks!
Their friendship was the best part of the movie. So heartfelt. ❤
My favorite part of this movie is every scene with these two in it, so it was so terrific that they were both nominated.
Minnie was a brautiful soul. Im hapoy they saw that and treated her the way she deserved ❤
Out of all the movies I’ve watched in my life, I love their friendship the most!
The first time I read this book I cried so so much. The loyalty and friendship in this book is inspirational.
What is the name of the movie please

One of the best scenes. I could watch over and over, and i still feel good every emotion hit deep.
