What do you generally catch there in august? I'll be there next month and would like to try my luck. I'll be shore fishing so I'll be limited but it is what it is... Tight lines!
@HuyNguyen-lu3zj not much shore access that I know of except for the launch area. Probably bass and catfish would be the usual August catch.

Yes it’s long and it’s 5 drive for me too, so we make this trip once a year only. But it is fun to catch them.

Yes there are a lot of crappies. We caught a lot too but just didn’t include any on this video.

Truck at home and this is the same boat. This trip is 5 hrs one way so we took the BMW X5 diesel to save on gas. Thanks for stopping by.

The lake have a high level of mercury just like clear lake. Not recommended to eat a lot of fish from there too but those warnings usually get thrown out the window. LOL

Aww... too bad. So beautiful and plentiful. But it looks like a lot of fun. I stopped fishing after years of getting skunked. Now discovered and enjoying the fishing videos. Very tempting to try again.

Water is still cold so no they don’t stink. Only when water get warmer then they start to get stink, like Clearlake.
