In my experiences physically being in church is just exposing yourself to more evil that is hidden underneath an angelic shroud.

That is blasphemous, ridiculous, and completely inaccurate and if that’s how you feel when you are in the house of the Lord, then it’s you that is the problem. Because a truly righteous heart feels full and complete in His home.

@angelacampbell138 I understand feeling upset by a comment like this but do you think a response like this would bring someone closer to going to church or closer to God? Sometimes saying nothing if you can't say something helpful is better. And I've been where the poster has been, filled with sadness from being burned by people who were supposedly holy churchgoers. It doesn't always mean someone is the problem if they are simply wounded from the actions of others. At least this person is being honest about how they feel, and is watching a video about God, and that's something. It's a place to maybe start healing if that's what's going on. Perhaps you should try reaching out from a place of compassion next time or just ignore the comment. Take care. ❤

I definitely understand where you are coming from. I've met hypocritical churchgoers and been burned before. I'm still very wary about people I meet anywhere, but sometimes even more if I meet them in church. People I meet elsewhere don't tend to disappoint me as much as people who claim to love God and then their actions don't reflect that. But still, there are good and bad people everywhere you go, so that must mean there are good people in church too. I hope you got some healing and comfort from Pastor Kerry's words and that you keep watching sermons even if you don't want to go to a physical church. God bless you. ❤
