  • Last week I made some Murrine glass canes. There's a link to that in the Related Videos below. This week I'm making a square fused glass bowl using that Murrine. And it's a beauty.

    Jeff I love it, must admit I thought the grey was a strange choice but it really works, as soon as I can figure out the join I will.

      Hi Jo. With the grey I was hoping to make the Murrine pop. I think it worked. Regards the Join button, I've added a link in the description of the videos that should allow you to go directly to the Join form. If it doesn't work please let me know.

    Ahhhh, interesting! You may have discussed this in another (awesome) video, however, it was new to me. When you used your ring saw, you had tape in place to secure your drawn lines. It sure beats using sticky lip balm 😄

      Hi Patsy. It works fine, to a point. Eventually comes off but usually I complete the cut before then. Wrapping around the edge helps.

    Love your very informative videos, taping over your markers is something I get so frustrated with, all my lines getting washed out, trying to figure out how to keep my lines on…such a simple trick why didn’t I figure that one out, lol….thank you and keep the videos coming…

    Absolutely inspired! I’m wondering whether we could add the murrini on top of the 2 lots of 3 mm glass, or even just fuse the murrini on 3mm glass only…? I’d love to hear what you think… Thanks for the amazing tutorial!!!!

    • @RocketRoseArt
      @RocketRoseArt  Před 2 lety +2

      You could do both. It just means you will need to fuse enough for it to melt and spread out. The pattern will spread, of course. 3 mm would be better than 6 mm. The thickness of the Murrine pieces will also have a bearing. Hope that helps.

    Jeff, I’m taking your idea with the murrini but with a sliced squash melt, but with black iridized on the bottom & clear on the top, with the squashed melt between, to make a vase. Any thoughts, since I’m making the slices about a quarter to a half inch wide, in a swirl pattern.

      Hi Jim. Sounds interesting. No ideas that I think will help. I assume you're just laying out the slices into a random pattern. I'd be very interested to see the result.

      Hi Melissa. I suspect you're on an iOS device like an iPhone. The Join button won't appear for iPhones, iPads Etc. There is a video I made that can help, or just look in the latest video descriptions and there's a link there to join. czcams.com/video/nRHlGJc_MD8/video.html
