      Thanks! Yeah, you kind of always want end with a hard knockdown, usually from 66C. You can do basically any combo or route and as long as it ends in a knockdown, it'll be solid.

    A collection of Carmine combos that all build a bar without needing to have Vorpal. On average, three blood moves must be used in order to build a bar.
    I have recently been obsessed with finding combos that that build a bar without Vorpal so I decided to compile the ones I've found so far into a collection! I have aimed to find routes that are the most health/GRD efficient and, for that reason, have tried to avoid using FF/66FF in routes where possible.
    I think it'd be cool to have a combo that builds a bar from every starter (if that's possible lol)! Credit to commenter @Zechal for letting me know about using 6BB as an ender for extra meter in the 5A starter combo (there's definitely some other routes I've found where that allows for a bar to be built)! Let me know if you have any combos that also build a bar without Vorpal so that I might include them in future volumes!

    Hey, new to UNI2. I'm struggling with the execution and defensive play of this game when compared to SF3. Any tips you can offer? I play Merkava and I have a leverless hitbox if that information helps.

    • @KuronoOki
      @KuronoOki  Před 25 dny +1

      In terms of execution, one thing I can point out is that UNI's input buffer window is very generous compared to other games like third strike. If you're having trouble getting things like special moves or dash attacks to come out or connect, try inputting the motions during the last frames of the previous moves. You may notice that you can input things much earlier than you might think and still have the moves come out.
      Since you play on hitbox, you could try changing your SOCD mode to also help with execution. I also play on leverless and would suggest changing the SOCD to up priority if you don't already have that on. It works and feels much better for most games in my opinion and would probably help your execution in terms of doing things like TKs. On that note of TKs, definitely do them by using your right thumb as splitting the motion between the two hands makes doing them much more consistent. The game does have a pretty lenient input reader that was made even easier in this game so practicing and getting a better feel of it would be the only other thing I can suggest from a general sense.
      In terms of defense, UNI is has a ton of defensive options and rewards good defense more than any other game. General defensive mechanics include guard thrust, veil off, chain shift, creeping edge and shielding. Guard thrust is basically an alpha counter/dead angle, veil off is not a burst but is a get off me tool, chain shift is a screen freeze that lets you take your turn back, creeping edge is a dodge roll, and shielding is like a push block that gives GRD. The game also has multiple defensive OSes that you can learn and that aren't difficult to do.
      When it comes to defense in UNI, you can think of it in this way: blocking/shielding -> gives you GRD -> getting more GRD wins you the cycle -> winning the cycle give you access to chain shift -> chain shift lets you take your turn back and gives you meter to use metered invul reversals. To start utilizing chain shift, get into the habit of using it whenever you've won the cycle just to get the meter it gives you. Once you've gotten into the habit of using the mechanic, aim to start using it on defense. You can use it immediately after you wake up from a knock down to punish things like meaties or jump ins with invul reversals and to also similarly punish gaps in opponents pressure. Shielding is great and very important since it gives a lot more GRD than just blocking but is not risk free as you can get GRD broken from a bad shield. In a broad sense, getting comfortable with just blocking in general is a very strong trait to have in UNI as the game can reward you for playing defensively and being patient.
      I only know how to play Carmine so I can't give really give tips about Merkava. I would definitely suggest checking out SeaLeafDojo's channel though if you haven't already. He's a Merk player and has a lot of Merk combo guides and general UNI guides covering things I mentioned like shielding and OSes.
      I hopes this helps!

    probably I'm just too dumb to understand at first but why when you use 22C you dont smash buttons for more damage?

    • @KuronoOki
      @KuronoOki  Před 16 dny +1

      Unless you can get the kill, it's always better to set up with bombs after a 22C. Doing 623B three times while they're stuck in the 22C does the most damage though if you just want to do extra damage.

    Hi brother is there a way to get the jB dl.B to the 2C link consistently?

    • @KuronoOki
      @KuronoOki  Před 4 dny +1

      Not really, you just gotta get a feel for the timing. There's some wiggle room in the delays so you don't always have to do them at the same timing. Practice enough and I'm sure you'll get it down. ^_^
