@@lauchanu Years ago, for my parents 50th Anniversary, one of my mom's cousins daughter/granddaughter sent them a picture frame as a gift...my mom got it, put it up and told everyone the picture inside was of her cousin's daughter/granddaughter. When her cousin was visiting a few years later, it was realized, when the daughter sent the frame with the picture, she put the "sample" in front of the actual picture. BUT the funny part is her cousin walked past the frame in the past visits and never noticed it. So now, that frame is still up with the "sample" picture of my mom's cousin's "unknown, secret" child/grandchild...

Right - you could still do this prank today but it wouldn't be as effective without it being in the days of film as people would just say "you just photoshopped that in!"

I suspect that they get some really awkward responses, and don't show those ones. Also, it might be that they only show one because of the time format for YT. I seem to recall them showing more reveals on the actual show.

Peter was sent on earth to do Candid Camera. The man is a natural.
This happened to me at the local Walgreens at least three times. I get someone else's pictures. I put together a photo book every Christmas for our families, lay it out on their website, send it to the local store. I end up with a book that has my pictures plus other unknown pictures. The first year it was funny. The last year I gave the manager an earful. Now I use an internet provider.

I remember going with my mom and being so excited to pick up pictures. And that distinct smell of the photo developing solution. And it seemed like the owners were just geniuses for being able to create pictures. Circa 1960s. 💜

the videos are great BUT the thing I hate is that usually only 1 person gets the "smile, you are in candid camera" at the end but they do not show the other 2 or 3 people that were also in candid camera, I wish I could see their reactions when it was "revealed" the prank ( pun intended as soon as reveal came to my mind )
