@Jscottmoody Toney peaked in 1993. He never looked the same afterwards. James had a damaged pituitary gland which ruined his ability to lose weight and made him produce child levels of testosterone. Despite this, he obliterated Holyfield. He had to work through massive weight gain, hormone complications, and age. I cannot fucking believe people discredit this win; Toney is about 3 weight classes removed from his prime and 10 years past it.
Meanwhile Holyfield was old. Stop with the horseshit excuses.

Possibly the greatest fat boxer ever. Casual fans always underestimate the guy who looks fat. They don't understand that it's possible to actually have good stamina and to be in fairly good shape but fat at the same time. People don't understand just how quickly you get tired in boxing. A guy with a six-pack who looks like he's in great shape can still turn out to gas out way before a well trained fat opponent. Sure, it would probably be better if they could find a way to lose most of that extra fat, but sometimes it's very difficult to do, and that fat doesn't necesssarily slow them down as much as you might think.

Toney did something simple that a lot of fighters don't do. He threw his right and instead of trying to pull back, he slipped or ducked to his left to avoid Holyfields' counter right. Mayweather does this same move. Throws the right, then quickly ducks the counter. This is the counter right that Holyfield landed on Tyson in their match that was the beginning punch in a series of punches that took Mike out. Superb defense while standing in the pocket.
