      That's what I always do when I always end up a board like that because it keeps lotus alive and honestly lotus is a lot better because it changes the effect it's not activating nothing you can also use this when Tenpai use their effects with the field spell. No hate here but hey we all can learn. The left mistakes the better it's always here good feedback.

    who ashes Allure of Darkness in 2024???? and Yeah you were right with the yubel play in turn 1. the play I see a lot now is setting Chamber of the unchained with Sharvara, link into Princess with Rage to summon Amblowhale or Duelittle so you have 2 interruptions in the gy to prevent Dark ruler or other board breakers from doing that much.
    it explains why they weren't good with the yubel deck when they said they're Tenpai glue eaters. I also don't think the branded player 'forgot' to set the trap. kind of seemed like they were baiting for something like nib. if they were willing to trick the opponent into thinking they had to resolve S:P first I wouldn't put it past them.
    also lost doesn't trigger or protect after fusing with Fusion duplication since it's effect isn't to fusion summon but to copy the effect. so they couldn't add after fusion duplication fusion.

    • @parroandre
      @parroandre Před 4 měsíci +2

      how not setting the trap "baits" something, clearly they forgot, also lost still does its thing with fusion duplication: you just need to fusion summon a monster, i dont know where you got that, the only thing is fusion dup can be solemn or belle under lost, but thats kinda obvious

    Can you actually use spirit of yubel as the requirement for lotus’s effect change? Thought it has to be the original yubel? I know it says “Yubel” monster but I just figured that meant the OG one.
    I would assume it would say “Yubel” MONSTERS with an S if you could use spirit.

    • @chewdoom8415
      @chewdoom8415 Před 4 měsíci +5

      No. It is really that simple. "You can add one yubel" is different from "you can add one yubel monster"
      Yubel by itself let's you know that it just referring to the card itself while putting monster after it let's you know that it is referring to a monster with yubel in the name.
      "Destroy one yubel monsters on the field" would make no sense because there is no need to use the plural form of monster when "one the field" communicates that you can choose one among the ones that are in a monster zone.

    I’m pretty sure in g2 when branded player attacked Yubel, and summoned saronir I think he loses. Doesn’t nightmare pain double the damage? I think he would’ve taken 3600 for Albaz and 5000 for saronir. And that’s game. So summoning saronir cost him the game. He lost anyway but just saying.

    • @streiya
      @streiya Před měsícem

      @@TheDBGrinder I believe this is incorrect? I'm pretty sure that even if the player with SP passed priority back to the Branded player, since SP returning to the field effect is MANDATORY and Mirrorjade field wipe is OPTIONAL, the SP HAS TO RESOLVE NO MATTER WHAT and at that point the Branded player can CHOOSE to activate the Mirrorjade field wipe effect. They could pass priority back and forth all day long, but at the end of the day because SP is mandatory it HAS TO RETURN TO THE FIELD AT SOME POINT and AT THAT POINT the Branded player can THEN choose to resolve Mirrorjade effect. I remember this being a discussion topic on some other youtube channel.

      @@joshualenz9756 here's some feedback.
      - If you don't want to go super safe with Chamber, Escape is always better and way more aggressive. It has way more value against Tenpai.
      - Yama turns Varudras into an extra pop during the opponent's turn. When you had Squirmer in hand, you could summon/pop it to trigger Yama and revive Spirit and get followup for the next turn by searching, but more importantly Yama can "then destroy" 1 card you control on revive so that way Varudras gets the extra pop.
      More specifically during gameplay:
      @1:15 you can go Sharvara + Yubel into Rage, then Rage + Yama into Apollo (since you have Chamber) then use Chronicle to revive Yubel, Lotus will revive itself in the End Phase then you tribute Lotus for the upkeep to keep Apollo from being easily attacked. An alternative would be to just tribute Yama instead if you value Lotus more than Apo, then trigger Yama on the opponent's turn to get back Spirit for followup.
      A different line if you value Varudras more is to go DBB into Gates into DBB, normal summon the 2nd DBB, go with both into Yama, get Sharvara then Pain pop Yama to search Lotus. This way you discard Lotus to revive Lotus (legal because you already have a target in gy), tribute it to get Spirit, Spirit get Chronicle. Sharvara can pop Spirit so you go CL1 Yama CL2 Spirit, summon OG Yubel then revive Spirit and on resolution pop OG Yubel to get Terror out of the deck (since Yama is CL1 og yubel wont miss timing).
      That way you make Rage with Sharvara + OG (set the trap + remove the fiend lock) then Chronicle will revive OG and with Spirit make Varudras. You even keep Talent.
      About @8:40 since you play against Branded, having them face Gryphon is incredibly annoying.
      So you go the same until @9:20, there you can make Varudras (mmz1 or mm5) if you respect Nib. Squirmer SS from hand, Squirmer + Yama into Rage, Squirmer revive Spirit, Sharvara pop Spirit then CL1 Yama revive Spirit and pop Pain, CL2 Spirit summon the 2nd Yubel. Gates adds back Pain, you make Muck (emz closest to Varudras) with Rage + Sharvara, set Chamber, Muck discards Pain to revive Rage, Rage + Yubel + Spirit make Gryphon under Muck so that it points to Varudras while you have another arrow for Rage when revived. You can activate Gryphon discarding imperm then resetting it if you want to draw a card.
      The greedier play without early Varudras could go for Rage first, then end on Vadudras (last play) + 3 mat Apollo + Rage in GY (with Chamber)

      @@jamesshort4241 You are half-correct. After passing priority one time, the turn player must resolve their effect first. So turn player baited the opponent who resolved SP when they could just pass priority back (once) and force Mirrorjade to resolve. This happens because you can activate/resolve your effects in your desired order since nothing is mandatory.
      For example a legal although "toxic" play would be to pass priority for the opponent to get SP. Opponent doesn't get baited, passes back.
      Activate Cartesia, add it to hand. Pass priority. Opponent passes back.
      Activate Albion, set a Branded card, Pass priority. Opponent passes back.
      ... resolve everything except mirrorjade always passing back priority....
      Resolve Mirrorjade. Pass Priority, Opponent resolves SP.
      If you call a judge and this happens at a reasonable pace (so no slowplaying), the Branded player is fully legal, just fishing for a misplay.
